May 26, 20197 yr Why Why is it stated in bold red letters on https://iccsoftware.co.za/help/ Remove Blue Nova support in ICC !! as well as Feature Software updates, will no longer be supported if you are running an image from centurionsolar.co.za .Only download from ICC websiteand Does this mean that I cannot use the software as I have Blue Nova and not Pylontech
May 26, 20197 yr Blue Nova does not keep to a standard. Keep updating their firmware. I can't support it as they do not come to the party. The ICC website is blocked by Centurion solar on the image from their website and therefore the ICC software can't detect that there is a new version available to upgrade.
June 2, 20197 yr Not impressed with Blue Nova Connected two 26V batteries in parallel Noticed that when the inverter was running from battery power, one battery would discharge at a greater rate than the other After 2 hours, one battery was showing -2.6A and the other -8.6A Advised BN, answer was "10% variance is normal". But I said, this is more than 10%. No answer Fast forward a month. One battery is showing "COM failure" Reported this to BN. No response Sent another email, a bit more forceful. Described everything in detail. Reply says "I am only the admin staff, but will forward it" 2 days later, someone phones and says "what is the problem?" I asked if he had read the email - NO He says I must balance the cells. I ask him how. He is only a salesman and does not know. He asked whether I had connected the LAN cable. I told him that the batteries I received did not have a LAN port. He asked who supplied these without a LAN port. I told him it was his boss. He had no idea Then I get an email saying that they will take back batteries and I must buy the larger model, for an extra R8000 and just pay the difference Customer agrees. Then BN say I must pay full amount (R36k) and they will inspect returned batteries and then decide about a credit Sent scathing email, asking what the hell they are about, is there or is there not a guarantee. BN send an invoice for the difference, which I have paid and will collect on 3rd June Are BN one of those businesses where the left hand does not know what the right is doing, and they all muddle along? I get that impression Edited June 2, 20197 yr by chrisc
