Balancing Mecer Axperts

Featured Replies

Hi all

New here i had a 10kw system installed earlier this year, 2x 5kw Mecer inverters 24 Panels, and 2 x (4x120ah) batery banks.

Since yesterday my two inverters dont balance the load between them properly i attached pictures.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

I just want to make sure this is 2 parallel banks, or is it one connected to the one inverter and one connected to the second inverter?

During the time of the pictures the load was exceeding the capacity of your panels so it went into bypass mode (assumption), No 1 inverter was reporting an overload. I am not sure how Axperts divide load during "Bypass" mode, but maybe @Coulomb can assist in this regard.

Yes, this is important. Otherwise, strange things can happen, and there is a fault code if the inverter happens to detect it.

It would be in bypass mode because the load exceeded 110% of the inverter capacity (5.5 kW), or possibly 100% of the capacity for a longer period of time.

When bypassing, AC-in is connected to AC-out via a relay. I suspect that you have a loose and/or high resistance connection to inverter 2, else the wiring should be sharing the load much more closely. In fact, 35 W is so low, I doubt that inverter two's output is connected at all.

The other possibility is that inverter 2's relay is damaged. But I'd check the wiring thoroughly first.

If you switch off inverter 1, does inverter 2 power the loads? Do this with a low but non-zero load; if the wiring is high resistance, a high load could cause the connection to heat up and even become a fire hazard. Check the AC wiring with a non-contact thermometer if you have one, especially at the terminal blocks of the inverter, breakers, etc. Neutral as well as active.

Yes the banks are in Parallel

It was the fuse on the AC outlet that was burnt, the installer inserted 2 25A fuses instead of 32A. Replaced them and now the system is running balanced again. Than you all for the advise

Great, I am glad you are sorted.
