Where does one get the access software to Pylontech batteries ? It looks like this software locked behind the great Firewall. Seems like copies have escaped , however I can't findit yet ? See Batteryview.exe here

Thanks Youda , now the next thing is where do you find the latest firmware? How do you know if you are on the latest firmware - these Pylontech guys are super secretive which worries me a greatly

@NoordSolar

Pylontech simply does not allow customers to do the FW updates themselves.

There are tons of different HW revisions of "Phantom BMS" deployed in the field, so the possibility to brick your battery with a non-compatible FW package is pretty high. Same for the resellers and most of the distributors - normally, they don't have access to BatteryView diagnostics nor to the FW package downloads.

Yes, there were some issues with the product in the past, solved by a FW update. But the current shipments of H48050/US2000/3000 should be fine. BTW, there's a new line of Pylontech batteries comming out right now, a smaller 24V version.

Does the battery work? If yes, don't touch it. If not, then call the reseller and claim a warranty repair.
As a last resort, you can fill a complaint on the: http://www.pylontech.com.cn/service/feedback

Good luck!

Not really. Pylontech UP2500 bricks are meant to be connected in parallel, in order to serve in a 24V DC systems.

If you are looking for a high-voltage battery, then the correct product is H48050. Has 48V per brick and can be connected in series. Just keep in mind that H48050 stack needs the external controller SC0500 in order to operate.

Send this HEX string first: 0x7E, 0x32, 0x30, 0x30, 0x31, 0x34, 0x36, 0x38, 0x32, 0x43, 0x30, 0x30, 0x34, 0x38, 0x35, 0x32, 0x30, 0x46, 0x43, 0x43, 0x33, 0x0D
Then press ENTER twice.

BTW:
Technically, it equals to this: Serial.write("~20014682C0048520FCC3\r");
It won't work via putty, since the putty has no function to send HEX string as a batch (AFAIK). But you can try this 3rd party APP which does: https://accessport.soft32.com/
