Aldre
I recently installed a Imeon 3.6. Client has a disc meter. System is set up in Smart mode. During the day when loads are less than production the inverter somehow drops eskom/utility. When the loads increase to above 3KW whilst eskom is "not present" the system overloads and shuts down the power to the house. Anyone having experienced something similar and if so how do I fix it? Gnome
Considering it is a "client", I feel obliged to say that you need to know a product to sell it and install it The product has an off-grid mode per manual. Considering it is in "smart" mode it may be going off-grid and then overloading.
Mike
Check your settings and know your product.
Aldre
Settings are done as per normal. We've done about 10 Imeon installs already. Never had this with any other of my installs. Could the inverter be faulty or something to do with the disk meter?
Mike
does the client have an AMI prepaid meter? is the residence single or 3 phase and you are using only 1 of the phases?

Can't you take it to a know good location and test it the same way to make it shut down. Easiest way to figure out if the product is defective
SOLARWIND
You did configure it in smart grid mode. Did you allow feedback to grid, or not? By the way, the disc meter will have no effect on the operation of the inverter (it can turn backwards if you allow it, that's all).
