p_i
Thanks for your response. I've asked on their facebook page some time ago where they responded that it's still being tested for local use, but I think that's BS as well, since it's been over a year that people have been asking for it. Demand for it is definitely there. I can't see why they can't bring in a few to "test the waters". I'm sure they'll quickly see that there is demand for it. But yes, it's their call. People who really want it will simply order it from overseas.
jeeva
I'm running 3x Shelly EM's for longer than 2.5 years already. Got a bunch of Shelly 4PRO's as well. p_i
I'm nowhere as advanced as that yet. Recently got a Shelly 1PM to tame my geyser and I'm glad to report that it's working. Now I want to add the Shelly EM to get a better idea of what power is used when. I have an old Efergy but it's not really useful since the data collection is manual and hence hours after the fact. Nor does it give fine grained detail per minute. Yes, the Shelly app suffer the same weakness but at least there's an interface which can be used to get minute by minute usage. I just need to sit down and figure out how to collect and collate all the information. It'll give me something new to learn and explore. Fun times. I run a boat load of Shelly 1 & and a couple of Shelly 1 PM's in my house. All my gates & garage doors run SHELLY 1 (Esphome), fully integrated. Etc, every time I open the garage door, my phone gets a popup push message, with a CCTV image from inside the garage & outside on the street. Lots of Shelly RGBW as well. First thing I do with them is flash them with ESPHOME that I don't have to touch the shelly app. Everything integrates with ESPHOME+HASS and then I create Grafana dashboards for it. Rest of my lighting I use ESP32+WLED+HASS integration. I don't think I will go the Shelly EM route again, if knew about other products at the time, because you can build same items for cheap: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000497223928.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.53a21bf4jL7HYV&algo_pvid=5d873af3-52f0-4e60-b7bc-3af081388639&algo_expid=5d873af3-52f0-4e60-b7bc-3af081388639-0&btsid=0be3764315860745742901563ec440&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0%2Csearchweb201602_%2Csearchweb201603_ or https://iotawatt.com/ or https://hackaday.com/2020/07/24/a-complete-raspberry-pi-power-monitoring-system/
