June 2, 201610 yr @Camel Are these the ratings for your panels (255w Panels)? If it is your Vmp voltage it is barely above the MPPT voltage with 2 in series for string. MPPT Voltage range 60-115Vdc
June 3, 201610 yr Author Would you think it makes that big of a difference? If so will do it this weekend! Time never seems to be on my side......
June 3, 201610 yr Viper is spot on, caught this one with ease. You need to alter and get the volts up.
June 3, 201610 yr Yes from what I have seen on Coulomb's forum is that they prefer 3 per string on the 48v System. (Don't do this for your smaller system not sure if you have the 24v plus model) They did however get some legislation that makes it illegal to run a open circuit voltage higher than 120v but we seem to be safe from this

June 9, 201610 yr Author The 24v Axpert is a plus no point doing it now with 8 panels. Still have not had the time to install the balances I sometimes wonder why I built my house...work just never stops... But jumping from project to project make it worst!!!
