March 14, 20215 yr Hi Guys I have a Deye 5kw inverter and 2x Pylontech US3000 batteries. Last night during double loadshedding my batteries went to 38% then just cut off, then when the power came back on it said it was at 0%. This morning while it was charging, it went to 73% then just shot up to 100%. Where do I start to trouble shoot or what can I check? Thanks Gavin Edited March 14, 20215 yr by HeadRush

Are the batteries connected to the CAN connection?
March 14, 20215 yr Author Hi System has been running for about 8 months, they are connected via the CAN port. Yesterday was the first time the batteries have discharged this low.
March 15, 20215 yr Faulty BMS? If running for 8 months then they are still under warranty, get in touch with the supplier and Pylontech.
March 15, 20215 yr Author Hi How do I test this before I contact supplier and Pylontech? I want to give them enough info to prove the issue is on the batteries.

In the Sunsynk / Dye / Pylontech arrangement via CANbus, the inverter allows the battery BMS to dictate what happens and manage charge and discharge. So if the Dye reports 0% or 100%, it is information from the battery's BMS.
March 20, 20215 yr Author Hi I have updated the deye software and i saw that the link port cable (master was 0 slave was 0) I have now changed to (master 1 and slave to 0), do you know if there are issues if the link port cables are mixed up? I will now wait for the batteries to drop to 38% and see if the issue happens again.
March 31, 20215 yr Author Hi Does anyone know the correct settings for 2x Pylontech US3000A eg: Batt Capacity/Max A Charge/Max A Discharge,Float V, Shutdown,Low,Restart etc I also have my Batt Mode set to % instead of Lithium as it is easier to use "Time of Use" is that fine? Reason I ask is because the Deye inverter SOC is different to the Battery SOC (via console cable) Thanks
