April 12, 20215 yr Hi All I had a discussion with a solar installer recently. The company also installs UPS systems. I live in Scottburgh in KwaZulu Natal. After the PVs were installed, the installer called my attention to the geckos that live in my garage. He commented that recently a UPS that was installed, burnt out after a gecko climbed into the UPS. The warranty was voided and the person had to buy a new UPS or have his UPS repaired at his cost. I would like to know if anyone thinks that there will be a problem with installing mosquito mesh on the fan inlets and Inverter outlets. The plastic mosquito netting is unlikely to restrict the air flow. Edited April 12, 20215 yr by TonyH bad sentence
April 12, 20215 yr That's quite shocking! 🙂 Jokes aside, I think that installing mesh is a good idea where they are known to be a problem.
