April 20, 20215 yr Hi Someone advised me to connect 3 strings of 4 panels each in series then parallel. my inverter fault (13) comes on. Is this the incorrect way to wire up. Fault is there even when i unplug two strings? what is recommended to wire up the panels on this inverter? Current set up 12 x 335watt panels 48 volt battery set up.
April 20, 20215 yr Hi @Lazarus 4 panels in series on a low voltage inverter sounds very wrong. 335 watt panels are about 39 volts x 4 =156 volts which is way over 115 volts nominal.

Much appreciated. i have changed to 3 panels in series thereafter parallel x 4 strings and the inverter seems to be fine. please refer to the label on the side of the inverter. The supplier advised that this is a low voltage inverter but the amp and input rating is different to the image you shared.
