  1. Thanks for the feedback and apologies for the delayed response. Yes only one battery is linked to the inverter for BMS as they are not identical. (as per original post) what would be a safe setting for lithium batteries before it switches back to the municipal. And what should be the set point before it cuts off completely?
  2. Hi i have 2 x sun pays lithium batteries (48v 100AH) linked via buzz bar in parallel. i get 6 hours on them before the inverter cuts out. i run a double door fridge, led house lights x 5, 3 fish tank pumps and filters, wifi and tv for a few hours. Is this a reasonable amount of hours from these batteries. i could not run BMS on both batteries as they are different. one is the newer digital touch screen while other is 4 months older. Any advice will be appreciated. 5KVA growatt low voltage inverter 12 x 335 watt Canadian solar panels 2 x sun pays li 100AH batteries.
  3. No the electricity runs normal off the inverter when on solar. (if that is what you are referring to) it only trips when switching over to municipal supply. thanks for the response
  4. Hi Please can anyone advise why my earth leakage would trip whenever my inverter switches back from solar to municipal. i have a separate DB supplying lights and plugs to my home. No issues when changing from municipal to solar. My solar is not grounded. i suspect its the inverter setting. Growatt 5kva low voltage inverter 12 x 335 Canadian solar panels 2 x 4.8kva LI batteries. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. My 4.8kva (sun pays) lithium battery can only last me 7hrs. Purchased this in October 2021. i want to add another but was told that the battery has been discontinued and replaced with a touch screen(upgraded battery) but the cells are identical. I was advised to run both using a DC busbar and ensure my cables are the same length. Any recommendations will be appreciated. 12 x Canadian 335w 1 x Growatt Low voltage 5kva 1 x Sunpays 48v LI battery. Thanks in advance

  8. i installed a 48v 4.8kva lithium battery purchased from Sun pays about 2 months ago. i have been told that the new lithium battery which is now touch screen cannot be combined with the existing battery and there is no stock of the old model similar to mine. Does anyone know what battery would be compatible with this or who is the manufacturer of sun pays lithium batteries?
  9. Thank you for your feedback. I purchased my inverter from a solar supplier in Germiston. Unfortunately he wont say who the supplier is. I am giving him until this afternoon for feedback. Where are the guys whos email address you posted located? thanks again
  10. Hi few months ago i installed a Growatt inverter for my 12 335watt panels. 4 strings of 3. I have also connected via dc surge protection as well as earth leakages on the AC side. Last week fault code (9) comes up with no AC output. Supplier says that the inverter is burnt but it starts up as normal and the only issue is the fault code. i have done a reset, disconnected the batteries etc. Any reason why this could happen, the supplier is not giving me any feedback. Usually they push the blame to the owner. unfortunately i do not have a COC as i have done the installation by myself. Any advise would be appreciated.

  12. Question- does have two geysers Does having two geysers in series reduce the water pressure in by any chance?
  13. Thank you for the feedback. Much appreciated. i have changed to 3 panels in series thereafter parallel x 4 strings and the inverter seems to be fine. please refer to the label on the side of the inverter. The supplier advised that this is a low voltage inverter but the amp and input rating is different to the image you shared.
  14. Hi Someone advised me to connect 3 strings of 4 panels each in series then parallel. my inverter fault (13) comes on. Is this the incorrect way to wire up. Fault is there even when i unplug two strings? what is recommended to wire up the panels on this inverter? Current set up 12 x 335watt panels 48 volt battery set up.
  15. Hi Will i be able to add my swimming pool pump during the day onto my solar set up below. Note that i have a 5kva Growatt inverter. only the refrigerator and tv runs most of the day. will the load be comfortable to run on my inverter or must i add more panels?
