Mecer inverter not charging batteries

Featured Replies

hi Guys

my 5kw plus mecer inverter is linked to 2 x 3000C pylontech batteries and there are no panels attached to the system as yet. my setup is on backup (II) and thegrid was charging my batteries. all of the sudden the pi is showing that amps are being drawn from the batteries (-101 watts) and the inverter is no longer charging the batteries. on the screen it only shows power from the grid to the load and no longer a second line to the batteries, anything that i should do?

Is the word BYPASS on the LC Display?

What is the battery voltage?

What battery type setting are you using? Or just defaults?

My guess is that you're using default settings, meaning that the Pylontechs will charge to 56.4 V, and will disconnect at 54.0 V to protect themselves from overcharging.

The -101 W contradicts this, but that could be due to measurement/estimation errors; there is no direct measurement of battery current.

hi

LC display not showing bypass, the battery voltage is 49.3V, settings to disconnect if voltage less than 48v . i took it back to mustek.

i just want to know what could be causing this ?
