  1. Placed this tablet in my kitchen for monitoring purpose, works a treat. Near a plug so charge tablet every 4 days.
  2. Yeah, my system used to trip. I got another battery giving me 2400w of usable power.
  3. I think I have a problem, Sonoff Anonymous here I come
  4. On my plans when I built, I made my garage 46m2 the architect normally allocate 36m2 and made the garage opening 2.4m . Worked well for putting inverter and batteries with a dedicated DB boards in if you got the extra space on your plot.
  5. I have a similar system and your power needs sounds similar to our family home. Sunsynk 5kva I have East and west facing panels, capacity 5kw, 2x 2.4 Pylontech lithiums have split DB board essentials and non essentials, Non is Stove and geyser my current kw usage is 3 kw a day. CT coil connected in the right place, Sun starts powering up at 6am,diahwasher, and washing machine etc is prioritized first in load setting. battery full by 9am, pool pump on from 9:30 -10:30 , geyser 3kw element goes on 10:30 -12 pm. Geyser at 70 degrees (also using 20 tubes and a solar pump to circulate) pool pump on at 12pm - 3 pm. Then we float batteries and base load. battery between 5pm and 9pm keep at 90%, in case of loadshedding or the missus smashes the batteries with microwave, kettle etc then from 9pm I let the batteries run down to 30% ( if loadshedding I keep the battery to 50%) works for me My bill is R6 a day , but I can export excess PV in our estate . So I have not paid for electricity for a while now. cheers
  6. Sunsynk logger app works well, you can monitor the PV production and manage the settings from your phone also. Sunsynk logger should come with the new inverters. No need to purchase it as an extra.
  7. My wife is very happy, that we have gone the Solar route, facts are I just upgraded to the Sunsynk 5kva and bought 4 extra 455 watt panels and the system is running really good. So will have to wait a bit and spend money on something else besides Solar. Lol
  8. Thank you , a fifth panel will help nicely, will have to sneak it up on the roof. My wife thinks I am Solar befok Yeah, you start finding things to use so nothing goes to waste, Maybe save up for an extra battery
  9. Looking good, I have got my usage between 2-3 kw a day, geyser is set to go on at 10:30 and by 12 it is at 65 degrees. I have got 20 tubes with solar pump, inverter is a SunSynk. My bonus is a I can export in the estate. So my bill for September is R0 so far
  10. So my original system was a Mecer Axpert 5kw with a 2.4 Pylontech and 6x 270 watt Solar Panels. This system ran for a year, before another Pylontech battery was added. This helped us during loadshedding. Then after a year o really started doing my research on Solar systems. And then it started. Added 3 more panels, and then seemed a bit better, but this Mecer does not want to talk to anything, like my wife when she is unhappy about my Solar spending. Eventually decided that SunSynk 5kw system was the way to go, and this beauty of an inverter talks to batteries and has two mppt strings. So now current setup is as follows 1x SunSunk 5kw 2 x Pylontech 2.4kva 12 x 270 watt panels facing East 4 x 450 watt panels facing West DB’s built in for solar as the house was built 3 years ago, so split Essential and non essential side. Two PV combiner boxes with protection / surge arrestors/ fuses etc All panels earthed and 4 earth spikes, Solar COC done and feeding back into our estates grid Currently with usage, production and feedback credits my bill for September is at R0 , now this is a win from all sides. See attached bill, we are three people in the house
