May 18, 20215 yr What capacity are you referring to PV production? What is your installed PV capacity? Looks like you're really punishing your battery... I read the other post so now see what your issue is....I had the same behavior, I logged a call with Goodwe and they updated my firmware and the problem was solved. May 19, 20215 yr Yes, but theres is another setting they change as well... Log a call and they will fix.
May 21, 20215 yr Author So the installer has logged a call but Goodwe just give excuses. Blaming the grid, or shading (I have none), etc. They do nothing to look into the matter. Also seems they have updated the firmware without the installer's knowledge. Not nice to do in my opinion.
June 1, 20215 yr Author Still no luck. Goodwe keeps dodging. I noticed the two strings keep similar voltage but the one has a large drop in amperes.

Anyone else experience the same? Very late reply I know. What we see here is that your battery starts charging as the sun comes up. Then sometime after 9:00 there is a sudden increase in load. The load exceeds the PV, and so the system must draw from battery to service that load. This is the point at which your battery starts discharging (you can see the "Battery" line on the graph suddenly switch from charge to discharge). Round about 11:00 your SOC hits 30% and stays there. So I presume this is the discharge limit set on your system. The load still exceeds PV, so now the system services the load with PV and Grid. Then about 14:00 whatever this load is suddenly turns off. Now the system stops drawing from grid and starts chaging the battery again. But there's not enough time to charge the battery fully before the sun goes down. The system is now servicing the loads (there's a big one from about 17:00 to 18:00) from the battery, so we see SOC dropping again. Then round 22:00 the battery hits the 30% mark again. I'm guessing the pattern repeats the next day. Battery starts charging when the sun comes up, then that big load (nearly 4kW) kicks in and the battery starts discharging again because PV alone cannot service the load. So wash, rinse, repeat. What is that big load that kicks in about 9:00? It's about 4kW and runs for about 5 hours. With your PV peaking at about 3kW, there is always going to be a drain on the battery. This doesn't look like any kind of erroneous behaviour. It just looks like loads that exceed what your PV can supply. Remember that while the grid is up, the system will try to supply all loads (including those on the non-essential side) using first PV, then battery, then (last resort) grid. July 8, 20251 yr Don’t focus on the battery graph—look at the PV graph instead. I have a similar issue. Check the PV section in my graph: there’s a sudden step without any clear reason. On most days, I don’t see this step, but the PV output is too low.
