August 20, 20215 yr hi guys, Helping a friend with his solar installation,i am by no means a proffesional, i have a technical background, but not really electrical, but is immensely interested in soalr and its applications.... so please be gentle on me.... i have done a few installations for friends, family, and obviously my own installation, but these was all done using the goodwe inverters. They seems a little easier than the sunsyncin terms of basic wiring and setup, athouhg it seems the sunsync is more flexible, so i am excited, but also want to be sure everyone i helped everything is done properly. i am now installing for a friend, i was hoping someone can help me confirm if i am on the right track... the more knowledgable guys like @Leshen or @Achmat etc.... the main difference between the goodwe and sunsync is the sunsync not bonding the earth and neutral internally like the goodwe does when grid falls away.... my questions pertains to the earthing.... i installed two arrays at my friends place, i grounded or earthed each array with a 10mm square gp wire connected to a earthspike connected to the panels. Question, is this correct, according to me it is, what about the sunsync inverter, do i ground this back to the earth in the main db, or also to a earth spike... to me it seems like the manual wants it to be earthed back to db... is this correct... i will be installing a earth nuetral bridge as well, my concern is whether the rest of my earthing is done correctly.... please comment anyone who is sure about this bit... thanx gents....
