  1. Would appreciate if other member can post charts of there solar production from centurion from 28 November.
  2. I have JA solar panels @TaliaB
  3. Generated 9.6kwh with 18X540w panels in Centurion, 9 panels in a string facing east and 9 panels in a string facing west. 2X 5kw Sunsynk inverters with 4X Narada 100ah lifepo4 batteries, the system is about 3 years old.
  4. The Inverter Reader unit(or repeater) -Fits into 3d printed enclosure -1.3 inch lcd display(might require a tv license soon) -4 touch sensitive buttons to control lcd display -Directly powered from the inverter, or can be powered from a 5vdc to 12vdc power supply if its used as a repeater unit Link below shows a demo of what info the lcd of the unit can display
  5. The geyser controller unit -Fit into an weatherproof 4x4 box. -Has an current sensor to monitor if the thermal cutout of the geyser is active or not -Has an digital temperature sensor input to monitor the temperature of the water -Will repeat info from other geyser controllers in the system that is not in range of the main inverter controller -Can control 3 geyser element to control the amount of power a geyser use How the multi-element works? The multi element geyser elements welded onto the geyser flange the first element consumes 400watts the second 800 watts and the third element consumes 1600 watts. Therefore you can increase the geyser power consumption in step of 400 watts, for instance if you want the geyser to use 1200 watt the first and second element will turn on. If any of the element are turned on and the current sensor pick up that no power are consumed the geyser controller will notify the main controller that the geyser thermal cutout unit have been activated and that geyser next in line can be heated.
  6. The System will work if there is no internet but wont be able update the online charts. If there is internet it will update the chart so you can view your system info from anywhere where you have internet.
  7. The controller for the inverter plugs directly into the inverter like a normal logger. The controllers have displays to display valuable information like current geyser temperatures, the ip adders of the controller so find it on your local network.
  8. Here is a system if been working on for the last year or so. Basically its a network of esp32 micro-controllers that communicative with each other via there own mesh network to calculate if a geyser needs to be turned on if its to cold for the current time or if it can be heated if there is access solar power not being used.
  9. Currently I have a client who want to install solar panels on there existing system. It a Kodak king 5kw with a 50ah lon battery, this system only back up a very small portion of the house, basically 3 fringes and the lights. I want to install 4 555w solar panels, 2 strings with 2 panels per string. So my question is it legal to use this y splitters in South Africa or not? https://www.inverter-warehouse.co.za/products/mc4-2-1-t-branch-connector-pair?variant=15355367850035
  10. According to me these under/over voltage cutout switches will have the same reaction time as the inverter internal voltage cutout switches, so it wont improve the powers quality, or in other words, there will still be milliseconds long high voltage spikes the entire time you are connected to the grid, especially when they turn on and off other parts of the grid for load shedding . The cheapest way to filter these surges is to install fast responding surge protection in all the db's with plug top surge protectors for all the sensitive devises.
  11. Hi Can anyone recommended a freelancer that can develop Firebase web apps in or near centurion?
  12. To start currently I have 4 Narada 100ah 48v batteries and I have no idea how many cycles I have done due to the fact that I still running the lead acid battery settings on my sunsynk inverter. The batteries very rarely go below 50%, according to the inverter and led indicator on the batteries. Am I correct to assume that my batteries will last approximately 10000 days, that's more than 20 years or am i missing something?
  13. Hi, if this problem continue for more than a day try to disconnect the data logger during the evening and reconnect it the next morning
  14. Thanks for all the replies, glad to see Segen are active on this form After posting this i did call the customer and he said that the lcd is working again! If it happens again i will try a firmware update
  15. Hi I have a kodak og7.2 with a dead lcd, the power button is still working. I have no idea if i can buy these lcd control unit loose in the country and where?

  19. Just to confirm, these inverters does have an internal earth bonging relay.
  20. Hi Does anybody know if the kodak OG7.2 inverter have an internal earth boding relay function or should I install a contactor? Thanks
