Alternative way to power Axpert Voltronics Inverter for pupose of monitoring
Thank you all gentlemen. I suppose this simple question lend me straight out of the realms of my very basic electronics knowledge. After all , I am just an mechanical eng with strong electronics apetite, and 30+ years of experience in smoking things as I learn... I thank you for all good advise. Since , until now , nobody can answer where to power the inverter in (in this particular fashion ), I will leave this topic alltogether. I know, I can plug an extra litlle PV into the MPPT charger and it will power the whole thing ok. ( during daylight of course). I have done it. I guess I will leave it with AC input on for the rest of its life, he he he. Greetings

Alternative way to power Axpert Voltronics Inverter for pupose of monitoring
Thank yo very much @BritishRacingGreen. An interesting circuit indeed. I do not think I can reach Mantech but maybe you can explain how I make an dec-dc converter to be isolated . I would thank you for that. In any case , I suspect that with +5V I can shurely power the CPU and LCD of the Inverter . Question is where to plug this in .... Standard power in for this inverter would be PV input ( which I do not want to use / parallel with present PV Inverter , they will figth each other ) and AC in wich will trigger the charging process wich I want to put under control ( switch AC on/Off when I decide. Greetings

Alternative way to power Axpert Voltronics Inverter for pupose of monitoring
Well, I do not have any BMS. Thank you for replying @Beat . And for your interest. I should have been more precise, since I already monitor the voltage kind of in the way you suggest : Have a dedicated esp8266 with analog reading circuit reporting battery voltage to my Home Assistant system wifi network. Problem is that all other items that correspond to the Inverter appear also "unavailable" in this system because of it been shut off. Wich is disturbing as I look into every panel in HA. And , of course , I want the "real" voltage reading of the unit itself. You could say that it is a "cosmethical" need for me , also. He he. I know that the comm port delivers 12V dc when operating (wich I often use for my HA conection with ESPHome, draw about 200 mA) , but I do not know the circuit and obviously do not know where it comes from.... thinking of feeding same voltage into it to see what happens.... but I do not want to smoke anything and am in the search of an documented opinion. Have a nice day.

Alternative way to power Axpert Voltronics Inverter for pupose of monitoring
Good day to all . I wonder if there is an alternate to Solar Panels / AC input to bring the inverter into monitoring state ( Serial comms working/cpu ) without too much power lost... My solar panels are bussy with a brand new ON Grid inverter .... not that there is too much sun in our winter ..... In fact , I just want to monitor battery voltage while off service . Maybe 12V - 5V DC ? Thank you

The dreaded premature float bug (Axpert 3kva 24V)
Good day all I have an 18 month till now fully operating Axpert 1 Kva 1000 W MPPT Inverter recently(?) suffering from the same issue. I met this forum starting with Coulombs analysis on "code 03" and have never again had a good nights sleep.... he he I am Of Grid so my routine since mid Autum (April-May in Chile ) Includes a "Top Up" with Internal combustion Generator ( 2000 W ) 2 hrs past Sun Down and at wake up in the morning 6-7 AM . If it is a too cloudy/rainy day I have to run the generator (Axpert 20 A Utiliyu charge ) for about 1/2 - 1 hrs every 3 Hrs. ( Mostly to keep the home ferigerator going ). I stop when chargin power descends to lower 100 w. ( Starts with 250 W app ) Since descovering code 03 and as Fox says "the threaded under....." , the only way I have managed to reach 14.1 V bulk charge voltage is by adding a selfmade "Charger" out of an PC UPS transformer + Rectifier bridge which gives me 15A additional + Car battry charger 4A on top of all. But this lasts only a few minutes ( maybe 15 min ) and Axpert ( which is controlling the total amount of charge as I understand it) kicks back to float. My battery bank is 2 x 170 Paralell Ah Narada AGM VRL with recommended maximum charge of 25 A a piece. I , of course monitor the whole process with self made Software with readings every 10 sec. Apparently the Axpert 1Kva is done..... We have decided to upgrade our system to 3Kva 24 V and because mostly of the low price I am obviously looking for an Axpert Good offerings ( plenty ) in Chile. Problem beeing, "How do I make shure I get a "Good One" ? Manufacturing date ? Serial Number ? .... Most of the upgrade money will obiously go into new batteries..... I thank you very much for past and future help. If ever possible. It has been very interesting for me to read for hours throgh this forum. Thanks to the all the community again. Greetings Francisco Chile

3D Printer on Inverter
My 3d Printers are 12V Powered. I run them on a direct connection to 12V battery Bus. Microprocessors where constantly tripping when Inverter sagged briefly ( oveload or such ) Or through an 24/12V Dc-Dc 20 A converter for a 24 Volt batery Bank. Greetings

"Off-Grid" inverter "SUb" (Solar priority) capability. False advertising or not?
Hi , I do. It Works. Voltronic Axpert 1000 1 kVA VM MPPT 12V, default configuration. 18 months off grid so far. Recently some issues that I will ask here in this forum. Inverter will try supply 220 VAC loads directly from Solar Panel if present and sufficient. Any power not been able to be provided will come from battery bank / Grid or Gen if present Greetings.

Solar power system to run a fridge and few lights
Hi everybody , I am new in this forum . Live in southern Chile. @Eastboy : We have been living OffGrid for 1 1/2 years now and about electrical power the determining factor was "keep the fridge going" Our equipment is : Voltronic Axpert VM 1000-12 Inverter ( has 40 A MPPT charger ) + 6 x 200 Watt 12 V solar panels + 2 x 170 Ah Narada AGM 12 V Batts House (RV) ( Lights - water pump ) runs on 12 V Dc Hope gives you an insigth. Greetings
