I am always thinks of ways to save power. Then it dawned on me my gate motor have a 1 amp charger, charging the battery 24/7. So I came up with this idea, 12v LED on a 12v day night switch on to the gate battery, added few more around the fence, then put a few in a ball. As you can see wife was playing too.

Meant 3 The 145 are great. I only use the us batteries now. I just find it can take alot more abuse then the trojan. We take all our batteries down to about 20% in the machines get an average +- 3years cycle once per 24 hours.

Fully agree with you, I have had them for just over a year now and have used them at work for the past 5 years. Solid!

What would happen if morning and afternoon panels were on the same mppt? Is running more then one mppt safe? Would the mppt have to be the same specs?
