  1. Hi! I have an inverter Voltronic VMIII 5Kw, 48V, constructed on november 2020, and on an off-grid installation From the post fron Coulomb "What Axpert firmware is that?" on Thu, 02 Mar 2023, 19:34 (thanks Coulomb for that!!), where talking about the main processor on this inverters he said: "'28062 refers to the TMS320F28062 DSP chip, which has half the flash size of the above two, and is used mostly inAxpert VM models.", I learned that my voltronic VMII has this chip on it. For that processor, the firmware for the main board U1 is of the serie 41.xx (Axpert VM III older 5 kW '28062. And the U2 firmware (for the remobable pannel display ) is of the serie 02.xx . My inverter came whit U1= 41.16, and U2 =2.61, and the famous Premature Float bug, plus the fact tha fans never stoped and where allways running at full speed. Two days ago I updated to U1=41.17 and U2=2.66 and at least the fans problem is solved now!!, But the Premature float bug is still present. Now, my questions: -Is there any patched version of U1 firmware for this model and procesor of VMIII that solve the premature float bug? and, if not... -...I've got the firmware files 47.00 for U1 and 102.73 for U2.from the web. Do anybody know if those are compatible with my inverter ? -and if so, do anybody know if the 47.00 solve the premature float bug?? Thanks in advance for any comment, advice or assistance on this!!
  2. Hi. I have an off-grid installation composed by: -One charger-inverter Voltronic VMIII 5Kw-48 VDC, with main Firmware U1= 41.17, firmware for the removable panel U2 = 2.66. -4 gel bateries Ultracell UCG220Ah-12V -4 Panels jinko solar JKM465M-7RL3-V de 465 W -1 battery monitor Victron SmartShunt 500A My problem is that for correct configuration of the victron monitor and the inverter, I need to know the SoC (State of Charge) table of the bateries, correlating the % of charge to the terminals voltage (on a C20 situation, as in the open circuit situation, meaning bateries are not chargng, nor discharging at that moment. The question is that there´s no such informatión in the datasheet of the battery, or in the web (at least, I coudnt find it), and the Ultracell representative is not responding to my request on this. So, now the question: Can I say that the voltage for full capacity (100% SoC) is aprox 12,6 Volts, loooking at the curves in the datasheet for the 0,053C case? (I am ataching that curve below). So, for a 48V batery bank (4 bateries in serie) is 50,4 V the voltage of100% capacity, for a C20 discharge ?. Can anybody confirm this please?. And if any of you have and can share the SoC table for the gel Ultracell bateries, I will really apreciate it!
  3. Yes. Thanks a lot Coulomb. I ´ve allready seen you PM answer.! Is clear for me now. Thanks for that! Regards.
  4. Hi Coulomb! Can you explain a litle bit more this paragraph?? maybe is because my english, but i don´t understand complitelly. : When you say above ..."which means that they stop charging when the current falls to 1/5 of the maximum charge current setting, even if the battery voltage is up to 0.5 V below the float voltage setting. It should be the absorb voltage setting.".. What voltage should be the absorb one?? the one 0,5 v below the float? Sorry. Maybe is obvious but is not clear for me. I am having the same problem about bank not getting 100% charge in my 4 x Ultracell UCgel 200Ah/12 , and I am never seing the bulk voltage on the display of my Axpert VM III 5Kv (my max charge current is 20 Amp)-. Thanks in advance for your help.
  5. Thanks eHunterADJ for your reply! Regards.
  6. Hi. Just a question... Are the 91.20 and 41.17 firmware updates, and the MCU 02.66 suitable for the axpert vm III 48v and/or 24v ??? Thanks in advance for the answers!
  7. Hi everybody! I am new to this forum, which I found to be very profesional, serius and helpfull. So, thanks a lot to all of you who are dedicating your time for free to help people rather newby like me to solar stuff! I have some questions related to some problems on my installation, taht I guess are related mainly to y onverter, and specifically, to the firmware version. My system consist of: 3 jinko solar panels JKM465M-7RL3-V (465 W nominal) inverter: voltronic axpert VM III 5Kw battery bank: 4 x Ultracell UCG 200 AH-12 (12 v, gel ) serial conected in a 48 v config. I am in argentina, temp at this time aprox 5-17 centigrades degrees, The float and bulk values in the inverter are corrected by temp coeficient manually by me, and are respectively 55 and 59.5 v The problems are: -The inverter display never shows bulk tension, (so I guess the charger is never entering absortion stage) and rises up just to float voltage and stays there, or only seldom gets to a value near bulk voltage for a couple of minuts and goes to float voltage. So, my bank never shows 100% state of charge. I guess this is related to the "premature float bug", but i am not sure. -Some times, even with almost 150 V in panels, the panles icon just flashes and the panels doesn't engages to de charger. In that cases, some times disconecting panels from inverter, and shuting it down and up again, and reconectoing panels, fix the problems and engages the panels. But not always.. -Whit NO load conected to the inverter, and with the line (AC from the grid) conected to the inverter, I read 2,5 Amps been consumed from the line by the inverter, in my amperimetric clamp ¿? Is that normal?? - Most of the time, even at night with no load and low temperatures, the fans just run max velocity for no reason . So...investigating a little and reading a lot from this forum, I see that many things like those are been fixed updating firmware. Some more data : My firmware is main cpu : 41.16 I understand that version 91.20 is newer than this, and now is available version 41.17 too. Finally, and because of all of te above, my questions are: -Is 41.17 newer than 91.20? -Do anybody know if this versions remediate any of the problems I described above? -can I make the update of the removable display with the USB cable or just with the serial one? Thanks in advance for any sugestion/help in all of this, and excuse me for the long post ... and my limited english. Regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina
