I came right!! For anyone with the same issue as me, all I had to do was add a wild card (#) to the topic ― SunSynk/# ― and the messages are pouring in!! Got some help over at the Node-Red forum

Hi All, 😁 I need some help please ― I am using SA and have activated the MQTT feature with the Topic prefix as "sunsynk", allowed "Allow setting changes" and entered credentials at the bottom. Saved and started MQTT. Im not using Home Assistant just yet, but still want to pull data via MQTT to a Node-Red instance I have that has some automation stuff. This is where I'm running into issues 🤦🏼‍♂️ When I add a MQTT node in Node-Red, configure it with the Solar Assistant MQTT details (IP address, MQTT port and credentials), give it the same "sunsynk" topic, connect it to a debug node and deploy it, I get absolutely no messages. But if I open up MQTT Explorer on my computer, connect to the Solar Assistant MQTT instance (same IP, port and credentials), I get ±50 MQTT messages every second. How is it possible that I'm not seeing the messages on Node-Red, but I can see messages in the MQTT Explorer application on my computer?? Its probably something so small that I have over looked, but I have deleted and re-added the MQTT details of my Solar Assistant into Node-Red so many times... Any help would be absolutely welcomed! Does anyone know if this Astute "breaker" can be flashed with Tasmota?

@JuanH @Bloubul7 and anyone else that has the RS485 HAT for the Pi - what is the serial port connection? Obviously from downloading the flows from GitHub, it had USB, but when I search I only find a /dev/ttyAMA0. I deployed my NodeRed with that and now the pi seems like it reboots all the time 🤦🏼‍♂️

Why when I use the Googles does it not show me this stuff!! 🤨 Thanks @valienté!!!

Firstly... Congrats and thank you to @Bloubul7, @Sc00bs & @jacauc...! The work you have all put in is incredible...! You all deserve breweries, not just beers!!! I've been following this thread and am about to get myself a inverter/battery set to carry me through the on going load shedding - and hopefully upgrade to PV once the pocket allows 🤦🏼‍♂️ I've already got a Pi Zero running Node Red and added the flows from @jacauc's GitHub page... Thank you!! I'm now looking at the connection from inverter to pi... Seems I was at the back of the queue as all the RS485 Pi Hats are sold out... 🤦🏼‍♂️ Anyone have a spare one lying around up for grabs or know of where I can get one??
