Deye Invertor Modes and Essential and Non Essential Loads Operation
Hello. It is disappointing. My question is around knowing if the system provides power to the non essentials. If the batteries are fully charged and you dont push back the inverter will limit the production to what is needed to cover the essential load? If that is the case and I then switch on lets say an aircon then the solar production should go up? Or am I not understanding how it works?

Top Solar 3KVA Inverter
Yes we tested the voltage and all seems fine. Also checked the batteries with a load tester. The batteries are brand new and also tested when we picked it up at the supplier.

Top Solar 3KVA Inverter
We installed a Top Solar 3KVA Inverter with 2 Ritar 12V 100AH Gel batteries to keep 16 9W LED lights and 4 14W spot lights on during loadschedding. The lights are connected to a day night switch. The spotlights only comes on when triggered. Average load 160W at 5A. The batteries only last for and hour. Voltage drops and inverter shows low battery and switches of. Is this normal? Or do we need more batteries? Attached the Inverter specs and photo of brand new batteries. Any thoughts/ help welcome.

Is this a 5KWh battery
Hello. Our installer quoted for a 5 kWh battery and the below link contains the installed battery specs. Although it clearly states that this is a 3.6KWh battery he says it is a 5KWh battery as it charges and discharges 5KWh’s. Also because it is a 1.5C battery? Is this so? Will we het 5KWh battery? Growatt Data Missing
I know this is going back a while but how did you update the dongle firmware? I mean where did you get the updated firmware? Been searching and have not been able to get this.

Thanks for this. It's exactly what I want to know from a South Africa perspective. What are the regulations and or standards as far as this is concerned.

Pylontech UP 5000 Bateries
Connection from battery to the Host Inverter: 1) Battery A/CAN to RS485 on inverter (that's the yellow one) 2) B/RS485 to BMS on inverter Thanks

Pylontech UP 5000 Bateries
Unsure. Will the attached photos show that? Photos

Pylontech UP 5000 Bateries
Its 2 inverters to 1 battery pack with two batteries. Only one of the inverters received PV power from 6 550w panels.

Pylontech UP 5000 Bateries
Hello, I have two Growatt SPF 5000 ES inverters connected with two Pylontech UP 5000 batteries with BMS communication enabled. That in it self was a challenge to get right. I also have 6 Canadian 550W panels connected to one of the inverters. My house consumes very little power on average meaning that often solar production is reduced below what it can deliver. I know this because if I place load on the system the solar produces much more. My question is the following: I know that I have additional watts available from the panels however the batteries never charge with more than 820w and 16A. Before the Battery BMS was sorted I regularly got battery charging of 1600w and 40A or more. Is this the charging level from the batteries BMS?

Growatt SPF 5000 ES Firmware and settings to validate
Would the updated files be ok in South Africa? Or aren't these inverters region bound?

Main Circuit - Inverter
Hello, From my question you will clearly see that I am not an electrical nor solar power expert, however, I just wanted to know the following: 1) I have a solar system with panels, batteries and inverter connected to my house main circuit. When I switch off the mains of the house should power still be delivered from the inverter to the house? 2) Will the earth leakage in the main circuit board still trip? And would that also stop the power from the inverter to pass through the main circuit board to the rest of the house? Thanks
