  2. I noticed my cycle count is also doing 2 a day, I read somewhere on the forum that every manufacture calculates it differently. I speak under correction but with one of the support emails with Hubble they did mention that "Cycles are calculated when you drain your battery by 50% and charge it back up, this will be seen as a cycle." So I suppose two a day checks out then not super happy with it.

  6. Received a new update from Deye regarding my issue. Using a clamp meter showed usage around 230w to 350w usage with all breakers off just with inverter connected they explained this was the reactive power and should not billed by the prepaid. But for some reason my prepaid meter also thought it was power I am buying, for month now I switched off the grid during the day, on Tuesday I received an firmware update on the inverter from Deye the version number: HMI: 0000-c358 Main: 3373-0513 Now it's only pulling around 50w to 80w although more than the 20w configured, its alot better than paying for a 230w-350w.
  7. Not sure if SA can update it directly, but if you get the firmware from Hubble Support you can use the SA cable with a laptop to install it. Support provides an app to do the install that way. I don't have a Riot link but don't like the idea that I need internet access all the time. SA work offline and has great realtime stats.
  8. Received a new update from Deye regarding my issue, it seems its indeed it was the reactive part the clamp meter was picking up. But for some reason my prepaid meter also thought it was power I am buying, for month now I switched off the grid during the day, on Tuesday I received an firmware update on the inverter from Deye the version number: HMI: 0000-c358 Main: 3373-0513 Now it's only pulling around 50w to 80w although more than the 20w configured, its alot better than paying for a 150w-350w.

  11. I used the solar-assistant Bull/Hubble AM RS232 to do the update seems to work no issues
  12. @werner.potgieter I contacted the support in the beginning of the week to load the firmware, they have struggled to send the files to me. They finally got the files uploaded through We-transfer today received version 2.05, but now I still have not received the email with instructions and password for using the BMS Upgrade tool, and its Easter Weekend so will wait a while now. Have you received an password or email of some sort you would mind sharing / pm with me ?
  13. @Michaelza Unfortunately that's is the issue I have with this brand of inverter. We replaced the inverter with a brand new one, same issue. Had a couple of solar expert come and try to sort out this issue to no success, they tried adding capacitors to my setup did not work. SynSynk/Deye was contacted with no solution. My only solution at this point was to switch off the grid during the day as well. If you find a solution please do share.
  14. Thanks @Sidewinder, Currently it is ticked but no times are setup as at this moment in summer I don't drain the battery during the night lowest usually is around 40% before I get more sun. Winter will be different ball game I would think.
  15. @DegertHave ever sorted out your issue? I am also struggling with a recent install on my property. I have a Deye 5kw, and the difference between the elec meter and the inverter is not the same. Had two installers out already and cant get it sorted out, firmware was updated.
  16. @Scubadude That's very concerning spoke to the electrician about that video and he said: "As long as Power is flowing through the meter, it will runs , even if you switch the house off." the other electrician that was here said something is still drawing power. I said I agree and don't no why that it everything is off, he then continued to say: "It could be the way your house is wired as its part of a complex" Not sure what the last part means if I am paying for something in the complex does not make sense to me. I requested a copy of the COC certificate and contact detail of him to find out. Yesterday they tested to see if everything is on the inverter they realized that when not on Eskom just on inverter the trip test failed on the plugs. I pulled off the plate last night to look where they moved the CT to here is an image
  17. @Tariq Thank you will get another installer out today and if no luck will keep in mind thank you very much
  18. I switched off the mains now to only run on the inverter seems all the appliances are still running the AC light on the inverter is off.
  19. @Scubadude @Nitrious When I saw the light blinking on the meter late yesterday afternoon I switched off all breakers and checked the light was still going.
  20. Thats very weird yes, just looked on my history before yesterday it was like that it seems
