Best Wire Stripper & Crimper DIY
Thank you as always. As a DIY handyman on a budget which would be the best allrounder wire stripper and best crimper to have in my tool-bag? Something I could use around the house for general maintanence and for my intended hobby building DIY lithium pouch cell batteries during retirement. Any & all advice appreciated.

EBC-A20 Battery Tester on Omnipower 240aH AGM
Thanks to forum members for all the advice. I have purchased two 24V 25aH each 8S2P lithium iron pouch batteries connected in parallel to give me a 24V 50aH capacity. Using the above EBC-A20 charger to charge (C-CV mode) my batteries what would the following parameters be? Test value |Voltage | Cutoff Current. The batteries have been running perfectly since Oct 2022 but recently started giving me "wiring error" message on the inverter. So would like to charge them up (now 25.33v) to see if the error persists. any advise on the settings or otherwise sincerely appreciated. TIA.

Fivestar Inverter
Morning thanks for the feedback. Do you possibly have the L x W x H dimensions of the inverter itself please. I can't seem to google the user manual or dimensions anywhere. TIA

EBC-A20 Battery Tester on Omnipower 240aH AGM
Many thanks for your guidance as provided namely on the D-CC screen use "Test Value" = 20A, "Cut-off Volt" = 10.8V and "Max Time" = 20Hrs? I will start the test after work today. Thanks again. 👍

EBC-A20 Battery Tester on Omnipower 240aH AGM
I am an absolute novice eager to explore the basics of my own batteries and how to care/maintain them over time as they are so expensive. I have 2 x Omnipower OPR240-12 AGM batteries that don't seem to hold their charge. During load shedding pulling 200w they hardly last for an hour or so in a 24v configuration. After charging for a week or two they reflect a SOC of around 13,8v for a few days and then gradually decline to around 12,9v after two months, measuring with a multimeter. I have now replaced them with 2 x 24v 50aH Lithium batteries which meet my needs and will expand over time. Going back to the AGM's, I would like to "pay it forward" to an elderly couple I know, possibly with a cheap 12v inverter I already have if as I suspect the one battery is still fine. I have just received a EBC-A20 Battery tester and would like to test these batteries using the tester to see what condition they are in. But I do not know where to start, have spent all morning watching a number of YT videos but they all seem to be 3.7v lithium related, also tried to Google as well but nothing either. I would sincerely appreciate any help and guidance from forum members on the parameter settings as per the bottom 3 screen dumps below for (1) D-CC constant current discharge, (2) D-CP constant power discharge, (3) C-CV constant voltage charge. Thanks in advance for any time spent answering me and guidance provided.

ACDC 3kva vs Synapse 3.0V+
Many thanks for the great advice. The only reason I went with two 24v 50Ah lithium batteries instead of two 12v 100Ah batteries was that I could easily join them in parallel for total 100Ah storage and also that I could periodically add a single 50Ah battery as they are 24v each.

ACDC 3kva vs Synapse 3.0V+
Numbers can be deceiving. When comparing the two inverters below which would be the best install with 2 x 24V 50Ah LifePo4 batteries. Regardless of the figures the Synapse has a continuous fan whereas the ACDC is a lot bulkier? Any advice would be appreciated. Just need some help and a sanity check on replacing Lead acid batteries with Lithium ion in my backup system
The comment referred to the CFE-1280S! I really like the Hubble S-120S and will probably go with two of them to replace my Omnipower 240ah AGM's.

Could you please provide further feedback on these lithiums? They tick all the right boxes for me. TIA

The reviews on these have been extremely poor. Would like to see some from people who have had success with them as they tick all the boxes for me.

Omnipower 12V 240ah AGM Batteries
Many thanks for the advice Jumper, I will discharge and charge tonight to follow your advice for a week in the hope that I can recover some use out of the batteries. Could I possibly ask you for further advice on the matter please? When you say "it stops charging at float voltage and never reaches bulk charge voltage" what does the volts on the screen reflect when the light stops flashing - will it continue reading 27.4v once the light stops flashing, or will it read 29.2V which is the bulk charge voltage it is set to? Secondly is there any way to "fix" the bug on the inverter? TIA

Do the readings below indicate that the one AGM is not holding Its charge under load and can it be saved? Any advice sincerely appreciated. TIA

CFE-1280S Lithium Batteries in PF Store
I am considering two CFE-1280S lithium batteries set up in series for my 24v 3KVA ACDC hybrid inverter. They are on offer in the PF store at a reasonable price of approx R11,500 for two. As a pensioner I need to get the most bang for my buck and cannot afford mistakes when it gets to reliability and number of cycles. Are the CFE batteries therefore a good buy or is there a better alternative in that sort of price range? There is not much about them on Google or YouTube! I asked a similar question about the Fivestar 3.75KVA battery on FB yesterday, but am not the confident about their overall value for money after the excellent response and comments on there. (Further comments about this one would also help me). Any advice sincerely appreciated. TIA.
