Luxpower sna5000 eps trips during loadshedding
I went through almost exactly the same efforts/process as you but not changing from 240 to 230V. I did it this morning and hoping for the best ... Since my trips mostly happened when the batteries was at 100% SOC I tried to set the max charge voltage to 52.3V to prevent the batteries to get to 100% but limit to 99%. Maybe its my imagination but I think that did help to limit the frequency of trips. Hopefully the running on 230V will do the trick and no more trips ... š Edit: Can you please also make a noise about this at Lux-Power tech support. Although this a an effective work around, it can not be considered a permanent solution. The more of us complaining the better chance of getting it rectified, maybe with a firmware update or maybe with a product recall to fix it.

Luxpower sna5000 eps trips during loadshedding
My Lux-Power SNA 5000 is still tripping when in EPS (mains off eg during load-shed) mode. The supplier did update the software but it still happen randomly sometimes. Weird thing is there is always very little load (less than 10%) when this happen. Any help please will be appreciated.

Luxpower SNA 5000 raspberrypi/mqtt
Thanks @QuintenRowland I got my Orange PI and its working 100%, communicating with the inverter wirelessly and no cable to the batteries. For now its read only since its a very new Beta release. Also there are some glitches that need fixing that I already pointed out to the SA team.

Luxpower SNA 5000 raspberrypi/mqtt
Unfortunately my batteries only have a "in" and "out" (RS 485 I assume), there is no RS232 port or any other ports on it .... š See attached ...

Luxpower SNA 5000 raspberrypi/mqtt
Its on their website, according to them the PI (SA) communicate, real time, wirelessly via the dongle .... š https://solar-assistant.io/help/luxpower/configuration Not sure if and how well that is going to work ....

Luxpower SNA 5000 raspberrypi/mqtt
Thanks. They only added support on 22 Jan in a Beta release for Lux-Power, how are you able to use it for over 2 years? SolarAssistant do respond to my questions but very slowly and also dont answer all of my questions .... š This is what I sent last, maybe you have the answers: Since there is only one RS485 input on the master battery, do I remove the current LAN cable between the master battery and the inverter completely and connect this cable with USB (Orange PI) to the Input on the master battery? If yes, how does the communication work then: Battery BMS communicate with SA on the Orange PI SA then communicate (wirelessly) with the dongle (data logger) on the inverter? This then control the charge & discharge rates? What if the dongle (data logger) is inconsistent and not always connected? Iām having this issue with mine, waiting for a warranty replacement.

Luxpower SNA 5000 raspberrypi/mqtt
I see SolarAssistant recently added support for LuxPower. Anyone tried this yet? I'm keen, but first want to know all the ins & outs. @SolarAssistant I sent an email requesting info, can you please get someone to attend to this?

Luxpower Firmware
On the "Maintain" page, everything that is available on the inverter (like battery type) can be set and not limited as for a "end user" account. Also under maintain more tabs available: "Set Record", "Remote Update", "Update Record", "Autotest". All the rest is exactly the same as before.

Is there anyone that can assist me to create a "administrator" account for my Lux-Power 5kw SNA inverter ONLY? I asked the supplier multiple times but they are completely reluctant to oblige.

Luxpower sna5000 eps trips during loadshedding
That is exactly how it is setup and there is communication between the two but it still tripped in EPS mode. However, after the last round of firmware updates and I replaced the LAN cable, it seems to be stable & working now. I'm still cautious to load it as little as possible during load-shed (EPS mode), and so far so good. Thanks for the interest.

Luxpower SNA5000WPV inverter - is battery communication cable necessary?
I was wondering about that, in some places the wires are swapped and other not, now that make sense. After multiple firmware updates and a different cable, it seem to be working now. Almost through load-shed and its taking load for a change without tripping, so I'm hoping thats the end of my issues .

AGREE !!! I been begging my supplier to create an "Admin" account for me so I can do it myself, but so far they were very reluctant to comply Did you succeed? Please share.

Luxpower sna5000 eps trips during loadshedding
It would seem that there is proper communication, get SOC feedback, correct charge/discharge currents, number of batteries, battery capacity etc all correct. I tried a number of different cables between the master bat and the inverter but it didn't resolve the issue. Also there is no error feedback from the batteries or inverter, how else can I check for proper communication?

Luxpower sna5000 eps trips during loadshedding
I have the same issue, EPS keep tripping. I have communication between the inverter and batteries. Setup as follow: 1.) Lux-Power SNA 5000 2.) 3 x Mecer M3000 (Same as Dyness B3) 3.) 8 x 455W PV panels The supplier updated my firmware but the problem remain. EPS trip as low as 3% load sometimes with error 28 (EPS overload). When Eskom is on and the load is taken up by solar and/or batteries, it never trip! Also if the inverter is set to Lead-Acid it doesn't trip at all. Obviously I don't want to run like this indefinitely, much better to work with SOC and for the battery BMS to control the charging. Anyone with some advice/info? @Tommie6.5 did you mange to resolve your issue? If yes, how?

Luxpower SNA5000WPV inverter - is battery communication cable necessary?
I also have what I assume is a BMS communication problem. Have a Lux-Power 5kW SNA inverter and 3x3.6kWhr Mecer (Dyness) batteries. Only when Escom is off and on "Lead-Acid" the inverter take load no problem, but as soon as its on Li-Ion ("8" for Dyness) it refuse to take load even below 10%. When Escom is on however, no problem, it take load supplied from solar and/or batteries (grid on zero). The supplier did a firmware update but still the issue is not resolved. Please let me know if you get any info that might be relevant to my situation.

Luxpower 5kw hybrid inverters question
Looks like that did the trick. Gave it some load and so far so good .... . Why the local supplier did not suggest a firmware update is beyond me. Edit: I tried to update the firmware a while back but couldn't probably because I don't have admin rights on my account.

Luxpower 5kw hybrid inverters question
Lux-Power is busy updating my firmware remotely, lets see if that resolve the issue. Will let you know.

Luxpower 5kw hybrid inverters question
I cant check at the moment because we are load-shedded right now . But normally it say 112.5A both charge & discharge, depending on what the SOC is, the charge allowed decrease as the batteries get "fuller".

Luxpower 5kw hybrid inverters question
Its on 110A, the maximum that it allow me to enter. My 3 bats in parallel spec say 112.5A charge & discharge.

Luxpower 5kw hybrid inverters question
Hi Guys I have the following setup: 1.) Lux-Power 5kW SNA inverter 2.) 3 x 3.6 kWhr Mecer LiFePO4 batteries in parallel. They are identical to the Dyness batteries, in fact I think its rebranded as Mecer. 3.) 8 x 455W PV solar panels My system runs and works 200%, I hardly use any grid from Eskom. My problem is when in EPS mode (during load-shed or other outages). It can hardly take any load then, less than 500W. When I change the battery setting to Lead-Acid (from Lithium & "8" as the manufacturer), it can then take load as intended. Clearly there is a issue with communication between the inverter and the batteries, I tried both the cable supplied with the inverter as well as one supplied with the batteries, same exact issue. Please help, I don't want to run the Lead-Acid setting for extended periods. The inverter supplier did "try" to help but they are so busy "making money" that they not bothered to help me trouble shoot until the issue is resolved.

Assistance with Luxpower SNA5000 wifi setup.
My dongle was connected and worked perfectly for a number of weeks, now all of a sudden it "loose connection". After unplug from the inverter and re-plug it started worked the previous time. This time however it bluntly refuse. Only the lower green light is burning solid, other two is off and remain off. I tried going through the "repairing" procedure from scratch but no luck at all. I'm starting to think there is something wrong with my dongle specifically. Any help/suggestions/advice please? SNA5000 Lux-Power Inverter 3 x 3.6 kWhr Mercer/Dyness batteries 8 x 455W Longi panels
