Partial cycle lithium batteries each day or keep fully charge for loadshedding at all time
I probably misplaced it because I cant find it hopefully I can get one.

Partial cycle lithium batteries each day or keep fully charge for loadshedding at all time
Im not sure if this invertor can be connected see pictures these are the available ports on the battery and invertor .Can the COM port be used if so what cable will I need and where can I obtain this or if there is anyone around JHB south that can help setup that would also be appreciated.

Partial cycle lithium batteries each day or keep fully charge for loadshedding at all time
Perfect thanks for this does sound better im just not sure what voltage equates to 20% vs 50-70% apologys complete noob here its a up5000 4.8kwh and i cant use bms since no connection to invertor These are my settings SUB LBU CSO 17: Bulk :53.2 18:Float : 52.2v 19: low dc cutoff voltage :47.5 let me know if this is right for the battery also 20: Stop discharge when grid available:48v need to check if this is right. 21: Battery stop charge when grid available: 53v

Partial cycle lithium batteries each day or keep fully charge for loadshedding at all time
I have a pylontech Up5000 batterynd trying to decide if its better to partial cycle the battery each day or keep at full charge for loadshedding.Ideally i want to partial cycle to save on electicity costs and if theres loadshedding then the battery can discharge further till loadshedding ends for example.Hoping infoncan be shared on what is the best way to setup to extend life of battery but also save on electricity costs.

Axpert stay in BYPASS
Yes also have no idea what they are but i need to set it so that I can use solar to power home and charge in day but have enough battery for the night. Please can you help with settings.this is what i have. 01 : output source: SBU this was on UEi 02:APL not sure if this is correct 05 :Solar supply priority: LBU - this is what was stopping it from moving off bypass since it was set to BLU and was trying to reach field 21 voltage which was impossible. So LBU looks at field 20 which I set to 48V based on forum feedback. 10: changed from SNU to oso to maximise solar panel usage. 11: default but not sure if its correct 14: Changed from LI to USE since it was ignoring fields 17,18,19 settings could be a bug but i dont know of this impacts charging profile for battery. Need pylontech gurus to confirm if 17 to 21 settings are ok field 20 determines bypass mode or not. @Coulomb 17: Bulk :53.2 18:Float : 52.2v 19: low dc cutoff voltage :47.5 let me know if this is right for the battery also 20: Stop discharge when grid available:48v need to check if this is right. 21: Battery stop charge when grid available: 53v

@Coulomb i figured that it was not going out of bypass due to another setting related to lbu vs blu will tag you there since im not sure what ideal settings are.

Must PV1800 VHM stuck in bypass
Hi all, so posting here in case someone else experiences similar issue and also to verify my settings are correct since im complete noob so setup based on manual and forum feedback. My setup is 8* 360 watt panels , Pylontech UP5000 and Must pv1800 vhm. The settings that i used to get out of bypass as follows 01 : output source: SBU this was on UEi 02:UPS not sure if this is correct 05 :Solar supply priority: LBU - this is what was stopping it from moving off bypass since it was set to BLU and was trying to reach field 21 voltage which was impossible. So LBU looks at field 20 which I set to 48V based on forum feedback. 10: changed from SNU to CSO to maximise solar panel usage. 11: default but not sure if its correct 14: Changed from LI to USE since it was ignoring fields 17,18,19 settings could be a bug but i dont know of this impacts charging profile for battery. Axpert stay in BYPASS
@Coulomb i also have a similar situation with a Must 5 kva pv 1800vhm invertor and UP5000 battery it remains in bypass but I think my settings are wrong for the battery im a complete noob and the installer also does not know why it stays in bypass either. The settings are as follows SBU and CSO. Bulk 56.8 Floating 54.4 Low dc cut off: 48v Field 20:Stop discharging when grid is available :48v Field 21 : Battery stop charging when grid available :54v According to the manual field 20 determinies how SBU will work.Any assistance with correct settings will be appreciated.I have 8 *360 watt panels this is a new install.

Solar setup Advice
Thanks @jumper and @Scorp007 for all the valuable information really appreciated 👍So for now I set it to SBU and CSO , the battery is set to LI but I noticed its taking reeally long to charge and even once charged its still using grid power so the bypass indicator still remains and load not shifting to battery at night. The default settings are Bulk: 56.8 Floating: 54.4 Low dc cut off: 48v Field 20:Stop discharging when grid is available :46v Field 21 : Battery stop charging when grid available :54v

Solar setup Advice
Thank you @jumper will definiatly check this out can you please share what are the ideal settings so for example if its SBU which charge source should it be i.e OSO .. And then in terms of battery settings i.e bulk, float and charge voltage as well as battery stop charging and battery stop discharging voltage .Sorry im a complete noob here so hope my terminology is correct.

Solar setup Advice
Hi , Im.new to solar and recently installed a Must PV1800VHM invertor with 8 *360 watt panels and a pylontech up 5000 battery.I need help with programming the invertor since at the moment when its connected to the grid it goes into bypass mode so essentially its just using grid to power the home instead of using the battery and then charging battery from grid if it gets to low .So basically i want it setup so that in the day the home is powered by PV and excess charges the battery if its cloudy etc then battery must be charged by grid and at night it must use battery and if battery gets to low charge battery from grid and power via grid.Hope this makes sense. The installer does not seem to be familar with setting up the invertor.
