Sizing a string for SunSynk 5KW Inverter
Hi All, I want to buy panels for my 5kW SunSynk. There is very little stock. All I can find at a good price are the Canadian Solar 550W Super High Power Mono PERC. Will that work on the 5kW SunSynk? Or is the amps too high? See screenshot of datasheet attached.

2kW Inverter Generator Load Sharing and SunSynk Inverter
I tried it this morning. The generator 2kW. The load limit on the inverter is set to 1.6kW, the office was pulling about 1kW and it was pushing 600W into the battery. Then, I turned on the microwave (1kW) so the load should go to 2kW (1.6kW from the generator and 400W from the battery). @Scoobs do you agree this is how it is supposed to work? For me it didn't. The generator went into overload. Maybe the step load is too large for the generator. But it didn't work like I hoped. I'm going to buy a munch of solar panels on 1 March so it's just a matter of time now then we won't have this problem anymore.

Thanks for all the replies. So I got the generator to carry the load and charge the battery. But it seems like my understanding of the peak shaving is not correct. I was hoping to use my 2kW generator to supply 1.6kW to our office during load shedding and when someone uses the microwave the generator would still supply the 1.6kW but the inverter would top up the rest. But that doesn't happen. So it looks like either the inverter, or the generator.

Hi Everyone, I've read all I could on this forum about the topic but still could not get load sharing to work with my inverter. I've got a 2kW pure sine wave generator connected to the Gen port on a 5kW SunSynk inverter. When the generator starts it takes the full load. I want the generator to supply for example 1'200W base load and the inverter should top up the rest. When I start the generator it takes the full load, not partial load. Is it possible for the generator to supply partial load? I've bonded the neutral and the earth. The generators supplies power so I assume I did everything correct. I've even tired a 5.5kW generator (non inverter) and same issue. The generator supplies the full load. See a few screenshots of my settings.

Hubble dropping from 38% to 0%
Hi All, My Hubble dropped for the second time from 30% to 0%. The first time I let it go, but now the second time I'm getting concerned. Has anyone else have this issue? See my graphs attached. Load shedding started at 6pm, then the discharge started. I'm not too happy with this Hubble battery. (I've had the state of charge % showing wrong on the inverter. It's still showing wrong when I directly connect the battery BMS to the inverter, but via their CloudLink box it seems to work, but then the battery temperature is -100°C. )

I have a similar problem. My non-essentials like the geyser and oven are being fed by the battery at night time. Did you find a solution?

Hi All, To close out this thread. Hubble assisted me a lot by sending me a Hubble Cloud Link module and remotely logging into my battery and updating the firmware. Now my battery is back at 100% SOC and working as it should. Thanks a lot to Hubble and their great service. I would highly recommend their products. Regards

I've sent them a mail for the 4th time just now. Someone has called me once about 3 weeks ago and said they will send me CloudLink to trouble shoot with, but nothing after that. I'll give them a call on Monday. It's just frustrating to buy the more expensive battery with local support so it's plug-and-play with the DEYE inverter. But then the cheaper imported options would have been easier. They've sent me a mail to do the following, but that didn't work: 1) Disconnect the CAN comms cable. 2) Change the battery type o the inverter to AGM V. 3) Please input the Float, Bulk and equalization Voltage at 53,6Vdc. 4) Please set the Low Voltage to 44Vdc. 5) Kindly charge up battery until the inverter stops charging the battery at 53.6Vdc, this may take some time as the battery will do a cell balance at full voltage. 6) Once inverter has stopped charging, kindly reconnect your CAN cable and go back into your inverter battery menu and activate the Lithium settings and CAN communications.

Thanks for giving me a good lead. It looks to be quite complicated in that thread. I hoped the Hubble would be plug and play. But seems like there are a lot of BMS issues on these batteries.

Hi all, any other suggestions? I've fiddled with the charge voltage. Even ran it for a day without CANBUS to see if charging at 54V would help. But everything is back to defualt settings. My current state of charge when fully charged is at 38% and it keeps creeping lower. See graph attached. This is concerning since the battery is about 3 months old.

Thanks for the response. From the day I installed it it was plug and play, then the SOC, battery temperature everything showed up. I tried manual but then I assume it only monitors the voltage, so it's not accurate. The hubble manual doesn't say much about the CAN bus setup (nothing like baud rates, IP addresses etc.) it was just plug and play and enabling lithium on the inverter.

Hi All, My Hubble AM2 is about 2-3 months old and paired with a DEYE 5kW inverter. The SOC% has started to creep from the start. I've send numerous mails to Hubble. They reply and say I should get a Cloudlink for easy trouble shooting. But paying R2.5k is a lot of money if they should fix the problem. They said they could send me loan Cloudlink, but two weeks and three emails later and still no answer. Did anyone have a similar issue? Please see my graphs attached. The problem should be self explanatory on the graph. The voltage stays the same but the SOC creeps lower by the day. My fully charged battery is now at about 60%.

Great, thanks for the response! I always thought the King is the better model, so I never really looked at the MKS models. I see the MKS models can take MPPT voltage much higher than the King inverter (solar voltage of MKS=450Vdc vs King=115Vdc). But the Lithium support on the King looks better than the MKS models.

Hi All, I'm putting a solution together and want to run the facts past someone that has blown and inverter before and knows what not to do. I'm planning to buy an Axpert King 5kW model, then connect it to 6x 550W panels. That is the most I can fit on my roof (where there are not trees). See image attached. Should I connect them 2S3P, or 3P2S? Any opinions about wiring the layout of the panels?
