  1. Same problem... 8kw Inverter not even a year old. How did you guys fix it?
  2. Hi there. Mine is the same. What did you end up doing in the end?

  4. Haha thanks.. I am testing it at the moment and my cable only reaches a non essential plug at the moment. The watchdog didn't seem to work for me. Will test again. Will test custom sensor now I have the right path.. EDIT: Sensor shows up thanks, now to wait for some sun Not familiar with PR's but I will try and do so if it works

  6. And i'm up and running in no time @kellerza! thank you! Brilliant add-on Is there a sensor that has combined PV power? Or do I have to make a custom one? Anyone done this yet and can save me the time? Another thing @kellerza - when watchdog is enabled, when does it restart? I just had a power outage and my modbus pi was powered off, when power came back, I noticed your Sunsynk HA addon had terminated itself despite the watchdog being enabled. I had to manually start it again.

  8. Doh, my fault for trying to digest stuff at ungodly hours of the morning and not following up properly. Thanks a bunch for the pointer again, let me look into that, makes way more sense to me!

  10. Good point! Will run it on the HA Pi4. No worries thanks. Will tinker around. I actually want to migrate to a more streamlined setup as I described in this post, maybe you can help me use the Pi0 as a Modbus over TCP and integrate it with your integration if that is even possible with your integration? Thanks!
  11. No. I tried it on the CAN port on the inverter when I couldn't get it connected as I thought it might be that, eventually tried the original RS485 port again and managed to get it connected in the early hours of the morning... Then woke up this morning a few hours later and there was no data coming through again and it was showing timeout on the ModBudRead flow above. However the Pi0 was still accessible via IP and I could access the Node-red. I have a SSD on my Pi4 running HA, but on the Pi0 running my CAN Hat connected to the Inverter, it is just an SD card.
  12. Hi guys. I am using a RPi Zero W with CAN HAT and got it communicating using Node-red installed on the Pi Zero with the flows from here - https://powerforum.co.za/topic/8451-sunsynk-inverter-monitoring/ While it is great work, I think it is a bit of a "bloated" setup and it's hard to keep track of any updates amongst the hundreds of JSON flows attached all over the forum. I would prefer to use the Pi0 as a simple modbus over TCP and simply interface with this using @kellerza's integration and let that handle the decoding of the modbus data, or look into something like ESP Home as @jacauc does. I also have an ESP32 which i can use if needs be. Not sure if @kellerzaintegration will support something like that? as it looks like it only supports physical Modbus over USB connection to me and not to specify an IP of a Modbus tcp server of sorts. How would I go about setting something like that up? Then I can let my HA machine do all the work. What would you guys recommend? The node-red flows worked for a few hours then now just times out when connecting to the inverter on the ModBusRead flow and I can't recall changing anything and can't seem to get it connected again now. Thanks for any advice!
  13. Hi all Just installed CAN HAT on a Pi Zero W and managed to get communication working via MQTT and sensors showing in HA, however it just stopped updating after a few hours and when I checked Node-red, I see the Inverter Node timesout and I cant get it to read again on the ModBusRead flow. See screenshot. Any ideas? Tried rebooting, nothing changed on cabling. No luck. Attached my serial settings which were working too. Would someone mind sharing their latest flows? Has anything changed since this version https://github.com/jacauc/SunSynk-NodeRed/blob/master/flow.json ? On a side note: I installed InfluxDB on the Pi Zero and got it working, but do you think it's too much for the Pi Zero to handle the constant writes? Thanks
  14. Looks great! Once I have my info pulling into HA I will try your card

  16. Just got myself a TH20 and probe and also playing around with this. Suspect the extension I got isn't good so have been getting some invalid readings but slowly getting there.
