  1. Interesting reading regarding the Error 80. I am also wondering if the CAN error is actually caused by raspberry Pi that is getting "too hot" instead of the invertors. The Error definitely relates to communications. I recently upgraded to a PI4 without a fan and have had 3 Error 80's within a week. I previously never had a single failure on these devices. Regards, Geoff
  2. Hi Denarius I have been experiencing Error 72's at a site where we have 8 Axpert MKS II's running in parallel charging 31 x PylonTech US3000's. The environment is a totally off-grid data center and the installation is almost clinical. My finding are that as the PylonTech's almost reach 100% SOC bang we get the Error 72. We tested this with both charging via PV as well as with a Generator. Same results same time - as we were almost at 100% SOC. Strangest thing is that this may occur 9 x on the same day on the same inverter or anyone of the 8 inverters. It also may every day or weeks apart. After checking electrical cables, connections, everything x 10 we approached Voltronic whom eventually released a firmware update which we applied. Results were it got worse, then stabilized for 10 days then reoccurred 9 times a day then disappeared for a week then reoccurred again. Ongoing and unresolved. Voltronic are aware of the problems and have been busy with various test to try and overcome the issues but the problems still persists. Keen to know brand of inverter (you can email me at [email protected].) We have changed inverters, communications cables, swopped inverters around, changed charge setting to Victron and other settings. There are other sites similar to mine experiencing same issues with MKS II's running in Parallel.
  3. Greeting all, Please note that there is a full firmware update that has been released apparently addressing the KODAK King Solar Off-Grid Inverter 5kW Error 69 issues. Named: Axpert KING Main CPU Reflash. I see that it is dated 29/12/2017. AxpertKING5KW71.93P (1) (2) Available from Segen Solar.
  4. Fact check: Axpert/King vs Victron video - This video is totally incorrect. Facts are wrong.
  5. Greetings and yes they do have identical firmware version on them. I was in touch with the importer and distributor and they released a new firmware update. Basically the new firmware disables the alarm from running with Error 69. Error 69 basically indicates that the Pylon batteries are full and the inverter should stop charging the batteries. Bad coding.
  6. Hi all, I have recently installed a handful of KODAK King Solar Off-Grid Inverter 5kW inverters and I am experiencing issues when running in Parallel. After two separate installations my findings were almost a carbon copy. After applying the setting detailed in the SOP documents the Master behaves quite unusually. Program 2 – The AMPs keep changing – When I change the AMPS in accordance to the requirements the AMPS keeps changing on it's own. Master Only. Initially we set the maximum charging current to 50AMPS and immediately this changed. System defaulted to 120 and 140AMPS. (Max. charging current = utility charging current + solar charging current) Program 11 – Maximum utility charging current - Was set to 20AMPS. Program 11 doesn’t appear to change it remains constant. Therefor according to the manual the Max. charging current should = utility charging current + solar charging current = 70AMPS. If setting value in program 02 is smaller than that in program in 11, which it was then inverter will apply charging value from program 02 for utility charger which should be 50AMPS. This is the case at both sites. I ran a couple of tests today before installing finally setting the inverter to the PYL setting. With the Inverters in Default mode there appears to be no issues on either inverters. Master and Slave all appear to be functional and Inverters seem to be synchronised. As soon as one applies the PYL and USE Settings the inverter values in Program 2 change. I installed two other KODAK King 5kW Inverters as single units with Pylon's no issues. Just in Parallel operation. If anyone has anyone experienced anything similar or can give me some insights please let me know. I have been in touch with Segen but they are puzzled. Please guys I am quite desperate. Any information may assist. Regards, Geoff 083 650 6699
  7. Thank you gents. Really appreciated the assistance. I will try these today.
  8. Morning all, Greetings and I trust you are all well. Does anyone have optimal settings for Axpert MKS II 5K with 4 x Pylon US3000 3.5kWh Li-Ion Solar Batteries. The solution is totally off-grid with no ESKOM present. The solution is powered by 6 x Canadian Solar 360 Watt panels. The estate restricts the amount of panels otherwise I would have added more. Is the below 100% complete or are there other settings changes required? I have the settings as follows: Program 2 = 60A Program 5 = USE Program 12 = 48V Program 13 = 51V Program 26 = 53.2V Program 27 = 50.5V Program 29 = 47.5V Any assistance will be much appreciated. Thanks Regards, Geoff
