  1. Hello guys. Sorry for hijacking the post - I have a friend with an axpert that has a RJ45 instead of USB port for comms. He wants to make up a cable - RJ45 to USB - does anyone perhaps have the pinouts? Thanks in advance
  2. Hi I have something similar - 2 "older" batteries" and a newer one. the FW versions differ so experiencing some issues. How do you update the firmware on the batteries? Sorry to hijack your thread
  3. Thanks for the replies gents - makes more sense to me now. How do I convince the the inverters to see it like that so that at 50.5 they should report battery state as 100% (or close to that) and not 28%?
  4. Hi Chris I have a voltmeter on the battery feed which shows the same V as Watchpower and ICC. Apologies - that should program 27 - floating charge voltage
  5. Thanks for the feedback Coulomb. I'm not sure if that will allow the batteries to go beyond 30%? Program 29 is set to 50.5V (can be set as high as 58.4V as per manual). So the Inverters stop charging when the voltage is 50.5V and doesn't switch back to battery as 13 is set to 51V. I think I'm missing something somewhere. Apologies for all the questions and I really do appreciate all the assistance so far. Thanks
  6. Hi Chris - thanks for that. Made the change of setting 2 to 20A The batteries still does not reach 100% (between 28 - 30%) and as such the inverters never switch to solar/battery.
  7. Hi guys I need some assistance with the axpert settings for the Pylontech batteries. I have 2 x 5KVA inverters and 2 x Pylontech batteries. Batteries are a single feed to both inverters The challenge that I am facing is that both inverters show the battery voltage as 28% (50.5V - program 27??) I have the settings as follows: Program 2 = 50A Program 5 = USE Program 12 = 48V Program 13 = 51V Program 26 = 53.2V Program 27 = 50.5V Program 29 = 47.5V Any assistance will be much appreciated. Thanks
  8. Feeling very embaressed Thanks Coulomb - sorted Much appreciate the assistance
  9. Hi Same question from my side. Need a reputable repairer in the Gauteng area or someone that can test the units. I have 2 that used to work in parallel mode but when the batteries died seems parallel died as well. Individually powered up I cannot select parallel mode. Thanks in advance
  10. Thanks Coulomb I have a single breaker between the batteries and the inverters Will have to make some cbanges. After fiddling around , both are now up witb no error condition. At one stage this morning the one inverter showed error code 58. I suspect that one the parallel card of one of the inverters might be faulty. The cables are all wired correctly for parallel but I cant select parallel mode on either. Thanks for all the inputs so far.
  11. Hi Coulomb Thanks for the reply. Yes I did disconnect the units - I managed to get the second one upgraded as well. SO I ran through the settings I had previously and tried to set it up in parallel mode with no success. Each unit can run on it's own without issues (still with no load). The moment I switch on the second one it brings up the fault alarm - after a while it will switch off by itself. In the log it shows a "Load error". Both are now on 72.70C Thanks
  12. Hi Hoping to find some help. I have a parallel installation - 5kva I managed to uograde the FW on the one but the other one seems to bave an issue. After switching it on it almost immediately goes into fault mode but I can't locate the fault code to identify the issue. The buzzer sounds contiuously as well. I've disconnected the other unit and there's no load and no AC input. In the manual there are a couple of error codes associated with the batteries but the same bank drives the other unit. Assistance will be much appreciated. Thanks
  13. I have 2 x Axpert MKS 5KVA converters. 12 Renesola 305W panels - 3x3 on the one inverter and 3 on the other (west facing). The batteries I had - 8 x Monbat 12MVR180 in two banks They are punted as deep cycle but are not
  14. Hi all I've been reading this topic with a lot of interest as I sit with a situation where all 8 my batteries have gone bellyup - just over 2 years of use and R24K down the toilet. I need to get new batteries as my system is down at the moment and it seems the Pylon Tech Lithium Ion batteries are the way to go. Where is the best place to buy in GP - cost wise? What would the cost be for 2 units plus a cabinet? A big thank you to the experts that make life easier for non-techs like me Thanks
  15. I will confirm the charging option when I get home. Might be solar first then that would explain the load
