  1. I have an old Mecer Sol-i-ax-5m inverter, what setting controls the recovery voltage i.e. the voltage at which point the inverter turns back on after a low battery voltage condition? Mine turns off at 48V but only comes back on at 52V even with full sun on the panels. I'd like it to come on at 50 or 51V especially if there's good sun input.
  2. Hi all, I've upgraded another battery so have these LiFePO4 cells for sale again. They are used cells but are well balanced and producing 98% of their rated capacity. 16 x 3.2v, 105Ah, 51.2v, 5.3kWh - R12000 (or 2 x 24v - R6000 each) 16 x 3.2v, 100Ah, 51.2v, 5.1kWh - R12000 (or 2 x 24v - R6000 each) Can split into 4 x 12v 100Ah packs for camping or 4x4 Contact Graham on 0 8 3 4 0 0 6 1 2 3.
  3. I had busbars cut from 2mm aluminum and 3D printed the holders. After some effort getting the cells all balanced it's all been working perfectly ever since.
  4. Yes, way too long I thought, was sitting reading the manual to try see why when suddenly it turned on by itself (I had of course turned the switch on after powering up). When the AC eventually turned on the battery had reached 52V (battery is a 16 cell LFP, with charge cut-off set to 56V.) so I wondered if it wasn't the recovery voltage set to that. If I may here's the photo of the caps from the Axpert Repair thread hopefully saving anyone else in the same boat having to look for it in that (long) thread. As a minimum replace C79 and C78 (1000uF 16V electrolytic) - (ref Coulomb & BritishRacingGreen).
  5. It has started up, thankfully! Not sure why it took so long to start up, about 30 mins before AC came on. It was at around 52V but that seems a bit high for recovery?
  6. Thanks @Coulomb I found them and have replaced the 1000uF's and the 47uF. My 5Kw inverter now powers on and charges with no errors but AC is not starting. Any ideas why?
  7. Same issue suddenly with my inverter. I can't see any 1000uF 16V caps on the board, is it perhaps the 470uF 500V caps that need to be replaced?
  8. That is a good variance for the cells but rather check the cell imbalance at higher voltages, ie over 3.5v per cell. Any imbalance will show more clearly at either high or low voltages.
  9. I'm not exactly sure, they are exactly the same type of cell but the colour of the shrinkwrap differs so maybe different batches.
  10. Hi All, I have upgraded my battery so am selling some of my carefully looked-after pre-owned lithium cells. They're LiFePO4, 3.2V, 100Ah, 320Wh prismatic cells manufactured in 2021 and have done less than 300 cycles, always protected by a BMS. Note: Typical life cycles on these cells exceed 4000 so there's plenty good life in them yet. See screenshot of them perfectly top-balanced at 3.624V, with a 4mV cell voltage difference. Note also that they deliver 98% of stated capacity. Come with busbars and cell holders. Prices: 1.28kWh, 4 cells, 12.8v, 100Ah - R3200 2.56kWh, 8 cells, 25.6V, 100Ah - R6400 5.12kWh, 16 cells, 51.2V, 100Ah, - R12800 Accept Cash, GeoPay, Yoko or instant cleared EFT only. Collect in Randburg, no deliveries. Courier at own cost. Call or WhatsApp: Graham on 0834006123 or PM here. Grab some power before they're all gone and loadshedding comes back!
  11. Just phone them, speak to Andre. When I was there on Friday they still had a container full left.
