  1. Pros and cons, but Victron is more modular. For example, the MPPT is separate and the inverter is only an inverter. With Sunsynk, my 8 kW inverter contains two MPPTs. Then there's Victron's comms component (Cerbo GX), etc. I'm not arguing either way: pros and cons, as I said. In the end, the Victron and Sunsynk designs are fundamentally different, with Victron being transformer-based, while the Sunsynk relies heavily on high-power switching electronics.
  2. I have Sunsynk components that are rated IP65 and installed outside, due to limitations on my property. For safety, I installed a large, galvanised cabinet for the equipment (against an outside wall). I would recommend that.
  3. I found this thread today and think it's very useful. I'm not sure whose initiative this is originally, but I was wondering if someone would be keen to maintain e.g. a public Google Sheet with a list of versions per inverter. It's kind of hard to "see" what the current state of affairs is.
