There's an option in SolarPower soffware to update settings so that PV is used to charge Battery first and then export to Grid.

I couldn't figure it out. I think upgrading inverter firmware fixed it but I'm not 100% sure. I did end up getting SolarAssistant software - which is much better than monitoring via its own snmp webpage.

Our 3-Phase mains panels is 40ft away from the inverter. Is there any downside to extending CT wires to 40ft vs installing Smartmeter at mains panel - which then communicates with inverter via 485? Can I use 3-pairs in Cat6 cable for extending CT wires?

I meant its asking for factory password even for Max. feed-in grid power setting. What's the factory password? My inverter is 8 years old and the white-label company that sold it to me is gone now.

I see the option in older version, however, after reading the manual again I think max feed-in setting only works if Grid-Tie with Backup (III) is selected. I'm going to try it now.

Does this version show Max feed-in setting for you? what if I use an older version e.g. SolarPower v1.14SP8 from 2020/8/11, its closer to the inverter firmware date?

I am able to change this setting. Are you sure it only limits Power generation/export of Inverter? If I set it to 5KW, would load on inverter still be able to pull 10KW from grid?

The inverter already knows, how much its sending to the grid. Wouldn't the max feed-in to grid setting just work without smartmeter? Can I just set upper limit of power generated by PV?

I got the SolarPower software and connected via USB to the inverter. As per manual on Parameter Setting 2 page, there should be an option for "Max. Feed-in grid power" but it's missing? I'm only seeing following options:

Would this limit only feed-in to grid or total output of inverter? I want to limit feed-in to grid to 5KW but keep inverter total output at 10KW - so I can run heavy load and get full PV output. But restrict feed-in to grid to 5KW to avoid legal issue with utility/grid.

Do I need factory password to view/change "Max feed-in to grid power" setting on Infini 10KW 3P? I need to reduce the feed-in power to grid. With administrator password in SolarPower, I'm not even seeing that parameter setting.

I have a Infini 10KW 3-Phase and recently Utility/Electricity company placed a peak export limit on consumers. My export can't exceed 5KW at any time during the day. Is it possible to limit export to grid or restrict PV generation to 5KW, without using CT or smart-meter?

No such requirement in our region. The battery is out of sight so normally no one comes close to it, but I'm just trying to foresee an unfortunate outcome with a HV battery system. If 48V systems weren't noisy, I would have just gone with it. Also, it seems like battery companies are now pushing more HV products as well, I guess the technology has matured enough over the years.

There are fanless 48V inverters but those are smaller 1-Phase models, upto 8KW. I need 3-Phase 12KW inverter.

Thinking about getting Dyness, Huawei or GoodWe HV (200-400VDC) batteries, mainly because our system is installed near living area and 48V inverter makes a lot of noise. My understanding is that all 48V inverters will make such noise because of heat generated from inefficiencies. That's why I'm looking into HV Inverter & batteries. Price not being an issue, my only concern is the safety factor with respect to HVDC batteries. Assuming battery is properly grounded, is there is a chance of battery chassis/cabinet still becoming energised and hurting someone? OR would grounding ensure that the battery's built-in fail-safe mechanism kicks in and it shuts off/blows internal fuse etc? Is there a GFCI/RCD type breaker for batteries as well?

Our inverter installation is indoor and the current InfiniPlus 10KW makes a LOT of noise in the living area. Now we're upgrading the entire setup so deciding between Deye 12KW LV + 2x 48V Lithium batteries VS Solis 12KW HV + 2x FoxESS HV lithium batteries. The PV array is 13KW - won't be upgrading that. From what I've read online it appears that HV hybrid inverters makes significantly less noise when generating AC electricity from PV and when charging/discharging batteries. Is that true? Are the HV hybrid inverters almost silent?

Can Infini Plus 10KW be used in Grid-Tie mode without Batteries?

Powered off the inverter completely and turned off the battery. Turned both on and its working fine now. Maybe the voltage dips in Raspberry PI sent a corrupt signal over usb to inverter and caused this issue.
