BRAND NEW 8KW SUNSUNK INVERTER DIED ON ME
Hi, I'm planning on installing bifacial panels to take advantage of extra output. Can you please share pics of your solar panel installation? Want to see how they are mounted on structure, height, spacing etc.

SunSynk 12KW Hybrid vs Voltronic Infini 10KW inverter quality/reliability?
Can you share a link to those models? I saw the thread about logging using Raspberry Pi, however, this inverter is installed at our parents house. So I'd rather have a setup that's easy to use for them. I just took a look at settings and it appears that inverter is using Grid Tied with Backup 1 option. Interestingly, I asked my dad and he said that inverter does go upto 4KW per phase when grid is present, so not sure how Backup 1 option is allowing that. Screenshot: Sunsynk seems pretty good so far from reviews. One of the reasons I wanted this was because it has a large heatsink attached to it so supposedly quieter than Infini, however, I saw a video on youtube where guy was complaining about fan coming on and it was quite loud - which kind negates that advantage. Watch from 0:20 regarding noise. What is he saying at 0:48, which part doesn't have the fan?

SunSynk 12KW Hybrid vs Voltronic Infini 10KW inverter quality/reliability?
I have Voltronic InfiniPlus 10KW installed in our home from past 4 years. So far its working reliably, however: 1. Fans have started making too much noise + buzzing sound 2. It's pretty bad with unbalanced loads, e.g. if single phase goes over 3300W it starts beeping and after a while it will shutoff power. 3. There is no proper app. Wifi module one is quite poor. 4. No support for Smart Loads e.g. I'd like to turn off AC if battery goes below 80% SunSynk (Deye Inverter, Sold in my country by name: Nitrox) seems to address all those issues. Plus it comes with official 5 year warranty, whereas Voltronic only had 1 year and its out of warranty now. My concern is that I've never heard of this company before so curious about its reputation and experiences by forum members? Please advise if its worth upgrading to SunSynk 12KW Hybrid for my scenario? Is it more efficient, quieter, has better app than Infini?

Infini 10KW high-pitched buzzing noise?
Perfect! Page 43. Removing fans. Looks like the inverter cover needs to be taken off as well? I thought I could just remove the fan assembly sticking out on top?

Infini 10KW high-pitched buzzing noise?
Any idea about the fan's part number or specs? thinking of replacing it with a quieter Noctua fan, since the fans were always loud. Its only recently i'm hearing high-pitched noise.

Infini 10KW high-pitched buzzing noise?
The Voltronic Infini 10KW inverter, working non-stop for 4 years, has started making high-pitched buzzing noise. I guess it happened slowly over weeks so didn't notice it earlier. Video attached, turn up the volume to hear it. Its quite noticeable even 25-30ft from the inverter. Are the fans giving up or is it some other component? Inverter buzzing noise.mp4

How much can I shorten the string?
https://static.csisolar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/29111634/CS-Datasheet-BiHiKu7_CS7N-MB-AG_v2.1_EN.pdf What about these panels, these are Canadian solar 645W Bifacial. With only 16 of these I can reach 10KW on a single string. The datasheet though has different voltages, one without any bifacial gain and then separate set with bifacial gain. Can you guide me how to calculate min and max string size with these panels?

Here's the screenshot from snmp web. It displays Watts instead of VA, and for Active power it was showing either 0 or 1 for all phases.

Turned out phase lines were swapped by Utility 🤦♂️

InfiniPlus 10KW not syncing with the Grid. Warning code: 9
We've been having rolling blackouts lately in Pakistan. Since last evening, the InfiniPlus 10KW inverter isn't going to Grid Mode (stays in Battery Mode), initially I thought it was grid frequency issue but after several hours, checked the inverter and it was flashing Warning code 9. From infini manual: warning 9 = Line phase loss = The phase of grid is not in right sequence. Does the warning basically mean that line phases from the grid are not in correct order? Is this 100% a grid issue? My installer is saying to just have the electrician re-order the incoming phase wires and that will fix it, since we have no idea how long before the idiots at the utility realize phases are messed up.

InfiniSolar 10kw
Have Infini 10KW inverter, last night while checking something I disconnected Load from the inverter and opened up SNMP, it was still showing 100W of Apparent power consumption Per Phase. Total Apparent power consumption of 400W 😯 Does it mean, it's consuming 400w x 24 = 9.6kwh per day (288kwh per month) all by itself?

How much can I shorten the string?
Did you calculate this manually? I've been trying to find an online calculator or app that I can use to figure this out?

How much can I shorten the string?
Current have 16x Jinko Solar 320Watt panels connected as a single string with Infini 10KW inverter (MPPT Range: 400V - 800V). I wanted to add a 2nd string of 535W panels but because of limited roof space, need to remove some of the older 320w panels. Looking at the MPPT range, what's the shortest I can make the original string? I'd like to add as many 535W panels to maximize power generation. What's the min number of 535W panels I need for new string?

INFINISOLAR warning #07
I think its a grid issue, ours stopped happening after a month. Our installer said that the standard he had set VDE0126 is less forgiving then VDE4105 and that if it kept happening, I can switch to VD4105 and that will fix it. But i'm in Pakistan, not sure where you're from and whether VDE4105 is valid in your region.

Battery vent caps worth it?
I'm considering switching from gel batteries to Tubular FLA batteries but the batteries are indoors. They will be connected with Voltronic Infini inverter so chances of overcharging are slim but will they definitely emit some hydrogen fumes while charging. Came across the two products that claim to reduce hydrogen fumes considerably: http://hydrocapcorp.com/ https://www.flowsystemsusa.com/solar-batteries-battery-vent-caps.html Anyone has personal experience with these? I'm mainly interested in virtually eliminating hydrogen gas fumes and if they last 3-4 years that's good enough for me. Since by then I'll probably switch to lithium batteries.

Why Pylontechs have low discharge current?
Lol..no. We have Pylontech, Narada, Shoto, and Ritar lithium batteries available here. Im considering going DIY route and buying prismatic cells and making my own but not sure about long term reliability.
-
Why Pylontechs have low discharge current?
Was planning on going with pylons and dump current gel batteries for my 10KW Infini hybrid inverter. Surprised to see that even UP5000 only supports 50A continuous discharge current. Basically, I need 4x UP5000s to support 10KW inverter and this setup will be prohibitively expensive. Are there any other brands that support higher discharge current and will last at least 5 years? I'm from Pakistan we have Ritar lithium batteries available at similar price but higher continuous discharge current, but no one seems to be using those here.

Victron MPPT power fluctuating
Is your problem resolved now? I'm planning on buying Ritar Lithium batteries instead of Pylontech because of higher nominal discharge current but there are no reviews here about Ritar.

Wire guage for Pylontech US3000 batteries with 10kW system
Ah, I just noticed. About the cable thickness, the guy in the video below has UP5000 batteries daisy chained (parallel?) in what appears to be groups of 4, do these cables look thick enough to push 200+ amps?

Wire guage for Pylontech US3000 batteries with 10kW system
Yes, I realized after I asked the question. I'd have to go with UP5000 then. Any idea why UP5000 is not on pylontech's website? Is it an older/discontinued model?
