  1. Hi thanks for the information I have bought 3 of these batteries and they communicate well with Growatt inverter. My problem is that when I the battery SOC its 100% when fully charged and the FCC is 80% and I get 80Ah of the battery. Does that mean the battery has degraded or this FCC can be increased to 100% and how to do that? Thank you in advance.
  2. Hi all. I have a bit of a somewhat similar problem. My battery 4.8kWh LiFePo4 is reading SOC 100%, FCC 56Ah and Rm 56Ah. The problem is that its at the middle of 3 similar batteries connected in parallel and the top and bottom ones are reading SOC 100% FCC 100Ah and Rm 100Ah when full. In the morning when I check the middle battery will be at SOC 2.6% FCC 56Ah Rm 8Ah but the other two will be at SOC 35% FCC 100Ah and Rm 36Ah. Does this mean the middle battery is dead or can I reset the battery to read the correct readings when fully charged. When I these batteries I was told they have 5 year warranty and I bought them in March 2020 but started using them in July 2020. Thanking you advice
  3. @IssI've completed my update this morning at around 7h00 AM as per your detailed guide. On my side both inverters are working well for now I'm waiting to see if I will have the battery on standby once it's 100% charged. I don't have the negative values all is normal. No faults or warning beeps expect during firmware update which took a bit more than 7minutes (10 minutes to be exact).

  5. Can someone assist me with access to download this firmware. I read that the process of uploading the firmware is a bit of a challenge. If there is a post on the forum that guides how to go about uploading the firmware please also assist me with it. Thanks a lot.
  6. Good advice indeed, I have my 3 x 4.8kWh LiFePo4 batteries with the TL low voltage inverter. During the day my bats get fully charge at around 14h00 and the solar is no longer used but the bats until say about 80% and then charge again till there is no sun and the the bats are at 90%. Is this normal or my inverter settings are wrong? I need to set it such that when the bats are full it can direct the solar power to the household appliances and they average 300Wh. Please assist with the correct settings to achieve this.
  7. Hi members, please assist me here I need to upgrade my PV Wattage, currently I have 4 x JA 385W connected 2s2p. I need to upgrade to 6 x JA 385W, can I connect 2s3p to Growatt SPF5000TL without damaging the inverter? Also the model of the panels is JAM72S09-385/PR, can I add the 2 x JAM60S20-385-MR to the existing panels without worrying about compatibility? Thank you
  8. Please assist me with that SUB mode how does this work. I'm have 3 x 4.8kWh LiFePo4 batteries with 2 x 5kW Growatt Inverters and 8 x 385W JA solar panels
  9. I am on the original version which came with the Inverter and it's running well on the USE as well. One morning after having a cup of coffee my power went off I checked and found that my 2 x 5kW Growatt in parallel were off and no alarm noise no display. My 3 x 4.8kWh LiFePo4 batteries all had red lights. I switched on the bypass switch for grid supply before all hell broke loose from kids and my wife. On checking the batteries I discovered that they were drained to a extent that they could not turn on the Inverters. On that day boy it was very sunny but the Inverters could not charge the batteries as they were totally dead. I went to a couple of solar shops with the hope that I could get a 48V charger to raise the battery voltage so that the Inverters could be activated. Guess what they were talking of the high price ($1000,00 plus) and two weeks waiting period. I tried to the battery supplier who was so mad with installation and the settings and couldn't help as he kept on talking about forfeiting the warantees on the batteries. I left the system for a day and the following morning I woke up to the noise of alarms both inverters were on and giving all sorts of error codes. The obvious ones were 04 and 20. I went back to basic invert settings just to give batteries a charge with the grid power. I hate to say that Li settings on the Inverter was a total waste of time and battery life. So far everything is working and would not bother the Inverters with Li settings as the Battery BMS is more than capable.
  10. Hi thanks for the response. I'm residing at Derdepoort Zambezi Manor Lifestyle Estate and my email address [email protected]. Kindly share with me his contacts via email so we can be in touch. Other than the Wi-Fi Shinephone App problem I have, system is really doing a great job as I've reduced my Eskom dependency to 10%.
  11. Hi All has anyone of you using 2 x 5kW Growatt Inverters connected in parallel managed to have both Inverters monitored via the WiFi dataloggers through to the Shinephone App? If please let me know how did you do it. I have tried for weeks now and only one is working. I replaced the original datalogger with the new one I got from GC Solar it did not work. I a new one from Bundu Power and its still not working. I'm sure there is something wrong I'm doing that I can't figure out how to resolve it. Thanks in advance
  12. Hi I have a similar problem my 2nd SL Inverter is not communicating with the datalogger. I've a forever flashing red light on the 2nd datalogger and no communication with the inverter. Can you perhaps email me the firmware that made your system to work well and perhaps details of how you managed to make it work with Growatt guys. My email address is [email protected]. Thanks Rakwena
  13. Hi I got 2x5kW Growatt Inverters for a week now. I think my installer has issues with electricity (grid power). This is because my interior house Led lights are slightly On 24h a day and noticeable when it's getting darker and I don't see the earth wire for the panels. But the Inverters are doing a pretty good job. I have installed the ShineApp but it's not giving me the combined Wattage and Voltage on the Master (HS) inverter.
  14. Hi Sir. How do I configure the same arrangement (2x5kW Growatt) so that I can see the combined or total PV Watts, Voltage and Amps? At the moment my SL information does not appear on my ShineApp I can only see HS information. I've connected 2p2s 385W JA solar panels per inverter. Please anyone on the forum help. Thank you
  15. I have 2 x 5kW Growatt Inverters (SPF 5000TL HVM-P) and 3 x 4.8kwh LiFePo4s (Bali48 from the Sunpays) batteries. How do I setup the dip switches and connect the comms cable so that they can communicate with the Inverters? Thanks
