  1. This is great - thanks - don't have to use SEMS for live data.
  2. No thats still there - I would not worry about it
  3. Nope , no LCD screen - the EZ Meter was replaced and the problem disappeared. Firmware also upgraded last week to 1818
  4. Received email from Goodwe that they are doing an OTA firmware upgrade for ES inverters between 15 Apr and 25 April to firmware 181809. My firmware was the updated on 15 April.
  5. Grid LED stays on if grid is connected (blue). Please check your connections - something is connected incorrectly - the Grid LED should be solid at night when drawing power.
  6. You can use the EzManage app to view - but don't do settings with it and PV master - it will jumble your settings if you use both for settings.
  7. Hi - yes the power to the 'back-up' output. The normal grid connected stuff is not affected like the stove, aircon, geyser and the garage. I will check on the connection of the EZMeter. FixAMess - I'm all for going to that firmware version but lets wait and here what Goodwe says. EZMeter test runs successfully. I will report back here once things are sorted.
  8. So after about a year of smooth running the Goodwe 5048ES is starting to cause issues. It cuts the power to the house even if grid and backup is available. There is no error light on the Goodwe or the PVmaster app - it just has zero power to the house. All the lights on the Goodwe are normal but the EZMeter has no led's on and the small screen is blank. A log from SEMS indicate the work mode as 'Fault' but there is no indication what the fault is. If I cut the AC IN to the inverter and switch back ON - it restores the house power and works normally until the next time - 3 days ago I did the power cycling 3 times but it cut out after a few minutes untiI I did a hard reset - all power off (PV, Battery and grid) to the Goodwe until all the lights went out before I restored power. I have tried to run it in back-up mode only but same problem - currently it is in 'zero' feedback to grid and has been going for 2 days now without issues (touch wood). I do not have any fancy Municipal meter just the old fashioned one with the spinning wheel (which goes backwards when feeding into the grid.). On 2 occasions the PV stopped generating when the grid went off for loadshedding (the batteries kicked in and kept the house 'alive') and came back on when loadshedding finished. I was not home and could not check the Goodwe's status the first time but the second time the solar light was merrily flickering away which indicates normal (I only have one strand of panels). This all started shortly after the firmware was updated OTA to v 171709. The installer is in contact with the local office and we await their response. I suspected that it is the EZMeter that is causing the issues since it is totally dead when the power is cut to the house with grid and backup available but the installer informed me another new installation is doing the same with this firmware version which came supplied with the Goodwe he installed. Anyone who has had this issue lately.
  9. HI - you can get it here https://github.com/markruys/gw2pvo - it runs on a Pi
  10. If you want to stop climate change, go vegan - cows are the culprit - http://timeforchange.org/are-cows-cause-of-global-warming-meat-methane-CO2/ ..and no. I'm not vegan
  11. Myself and neighbour had same issues with SEMS portal - PV Master has no issues on my mobile. interestingly - I have a little utility on a PI that grabs info from SEMS and uploads it to PVOUTPUT.org - this did not have the flatline on Monday
  12. just to update the thread, the display came right after a while
  13. Any one here that has experienced this: Sems portal graphic only goes up to 50% SOC for batteries even if they are charged at 100%. Now with bad weather they are showing 40% but the graphic shows 20% - see pics below. Should we maybe try a soft reset on PV Master?
  14. Currently using 700w to charge - so not raping the grid to charge the batteries - will leave it as is
  15. So Back up mode must be enabled to get grid to charge the batteries?? Thanks will change this for some juice to the batteries
  16. Hi - sitting in same position with Goodwe and no sun - it is running in general mode and batteries down to 40% - what happens when they hit 20% with our current spat of loadshedding. Will the inverter just ignore the batteries or charge them from the grid or do I need to set the inverter to Economical mode to enable grid charging. Agreed we need the rain so I'm hanging in there - just don't like sitting in the dark without grid or battery backup when they are depleted (Pylontech batteries)
  17. OK, so I was not aware that the Goodwe 5048ES receives OTA firmware updates. A day or 2 ago I was reading here on FW updates and came upon the dropbox download link - this is when I checked my firmware version 141406 - there were updates but I decided to not fix it if it aint broken .. Today the inverter reboot - after checking all the settings and data, I saw the firmware was updated to ver 171709. No idea what changes were made though.
  18. Tested mine - touching the sems cloud icon takes me to the app store - does not open SEMS. I open SEMS 'manually' from the app screen.
  19. I take it you do have the SEMS app installed? Else it won't access it.
  20. ...And its back again - I like to think its because I sent them an email...
  21. Thanks - good to know I'm not the only one - damn - I use the info for pvoutput.org to give me statistics
