6-7 years ago Sunsynk was top of the pops, the darling of installers and homeowners alike. That honeymoon period has expired and lots of water has passed under the bridge. Their South African country manager (David Drake at the time) made written promises of loaner units for repairs / swop-out under warranty, which were later dishonored and rescinded, and which left a bad taste in many people's mouths.
The Sunsynk is not a bad inverter at all, I have one that hasn't skipped a beat for the past 6+ years. I have another that had a calibration issue since day one, which ought to have been returned under warranty, but I haven't done it (since 4 years ago) because it would inconvenience the client to be without a unit for the 6-8 weeks that it takes to decommission, ship, await repairs, reship and re-install. It's OK, does what it says on the box, but today it is hardly worth the price premium.
If I were to turn the clock back, in hindsight the Deye would have been the better choice (at the time).
If I were to do the same installations again today, I would rather install a Solis S6 series, far better support and warranty, and far more advanced technically than any Deye / Sunsynk, as well as a far cheaper price. Moreover they are a Tier-1 manufacturer with an excellent global reputation vs the Sunsynk / Deye's tier-2/3 status (at best).
Let me put it this way: If my own personal Sunsynk blows up today, I wouldn't even shop around, I would gladly replace it with a Solis S6 in a heartbeat. The 16K Solis S6 made its debut in April this year, the 5, 6, 8 and 12K quite a few months earlier than that. Check out Powerforumstore's reviews on the S6 range, they are great.

I don't think the government cares about food security. They, including Eskom, will continue with their policies until the balance sheet can't go more negative... Then the poor will suffer most.

Lots of red flags with this website unfortunately the domain is hosted and registered by Godaddy the scammers all love GoDaddy as they ignore any abuse complaints.
I cant pick up bad reviews for this website I do see some good ones but in general it doesn't look promising.
They don't have Payfast or one of the bigger payment gateways as payment method and its only EFT.
If you can let me know what you want to purchase from them I can have a look at some options as well for you.

They ghosting people and not delivering. They are or were a legit company yes. Unfortunately this year they seem to have moved more to not being legit.

Update – 5 August 2026
The fraudulent website at ecohubza.com was taken offline on Monday afternoon (3 August 2026) and is no longer operational. The immediate risk has been mitigated.
Our only legitimate EcoHub website is EcoHub.co.za. Should any forum member notice another website, advertisement or similar domain appearing to impersonate EcoHub, please contact me directly or send me a private message so that we can investigate it promptly.
We will continue monitoring the situation and issue a further warning if any new impersonation site is identified.

Just an update on this post thank you Hostafrica for taking down the 2 Glo Solar websites both are not working and co.za domain authority for taking down the other 2 this is greatly appreciated.
If you get scammed or were scammed please remember to make a Police Case and report to your bank it might not feel like its worth it but I can assure you it is and essentially we will win the fight against these scammers.

Shew thank goodness I found this forum. Stumbled upon their site and was looking for a contact number to ask them questions. Got suspicious when no phone was listed, so googled and found this forum.

Make sure to use a reputable company so much online fraud in Solar at the moment its honestly scary. Double check references and preferably only pay when they done with the installation.

Thanks Stefan and Kevin. I was one click away from completing a big order. They emailed to ask why I hadn't completed and I questioned the EFT only option and asked what secure payment on the site meant. They replied that they have accounts at all major banks...........whatever that may mean. It's mind boggling that they can have such flashy websites out in the open and there is no regulatory protection.

Infinity is down again. At least we were busy earlier this week with ISPA, and they advised Afrihost took it down for the second time now. It seems to be an endless battle with these scammers as they just come out of new holes every week again.

Just make sure about the domain name, cause these scammers sometimes use a name that sounds very similar or looks similar.

All the info I have regarding Bradley at the moment is that he is a Zambian staying in South Africa and running all these. We provided SAPS with 7 numbers he has or had but they can't seem to do anything with it.

I do have an open case. The guys are struggling to track him down, which I suppose is based on the MO. I am extremely patient however, that same investment that was lost was prepared over a long period of time. I do not know what the final outcome is going to be for the investigation but, the projects must go on!
