Heinds got a reaction from Fuenkli in SELF CONSUMPTION: Batteries or EskomI'm guessing I'm one of the lucky ones. We live in a estste in CPT who allows us to feed back. We get 75% of the normal per kwh fees we would pay back in rebate and on a nice sunny day I feed back around 24kwh. An added bonus is that the same smart meter is used for water and electricity so the credit goes to both on my account.

Heinds reacted to Jaco De Jongh in Solar heating - EV vs HeatpumpI think they are on top of their game currently with serious thought and development that went into their products. I prefer using ITS...
Its not that simple, normally we connect a recorder on the geyser for a few days to determine the best unit for the clients consumption habits.
The 4.7KW is most commonly used, the 5.0 kw Super is in a class of its own, but sadly over specked for most normal house holds. The 3kw however is for low demand.
I recommend you prepare yourself for the 4.7kw unit, the additional 1.7kw comes at roughly R2k more depending on your supplier.

Heinds reacted to ___ in New to SolarDon't open that can of worms again... 😛
There is a long discussion elsewhere about how at present it seems all hybrid inverters potentially don't comply with SANS. The jury is still out, but I suspect at the end the Goodwe and the Infini will be acceptable, and the Axpert will not.
Renesola tend to rebrand other people's things rather than the other way round 🙂
