  1. The link is to the LR5-72HPM -555M panels which is 415W panels and not 555W panels, is this the right link. Edit: Apologies, my mistake , the link is correct, somehow I was hoping it has 11A max current and focus on the NNOC value showing the 415W and not the correct STC value showing the 555w.
  2. Pioneer plastics produce a number of battery boxes that you can consider, I ordered one online for my battery build. https://www.pioneerplastics.co.za/collections/battery-boxes-1
  3. I am looking to expand my panels,(have 10x400W with the Sunsynk 5.5, currently setup with 4 and 6 on each string) I see you mention 16 x JA 455w panels = 7280W total while the SunSynk specs indicate 6500W max and Keith gave feedback on Sunsynk forum "The 5.5 kw invert has 2 x 2.75 kw mppts if the voc is high the current will clip" , how have you setup your panels and is this working without any damage or clipping ?
  4. Here is a link to the sunsynk technical support where a suggestion is made on how to prolong your lithium batteries. I am also new to the Lithium batteries and Sunsynk5.5 and have started with their suggestion (Just adjusted for my 7.4kw SolarMd battery capacity - in my case the half point is 3700 and not the 4800 as on screen belof for their 9.5kw batteries ). https://www.sunsynk.org/forum/techical-support/how-to-prolong-lithium-battery-life-overspec-a-bit-the-rest-of-the-tweaking-is-maybe-not-worth-the-complexity
  5. Did any one else get a new software update, I did request an update for the Coms some time back (myne was on Ve.4.0.9). Only realized the updated was sent after the inverter just suddenly shutdown leaving us in darkness and rushed to do some fault finding, but only after switching everything off and running out of ideas did I realize it was the update that was applied. Just wish there was some form of warning so a person could prep However since everything powered down and then restarted once I switched back from grid, my Modbus logger stopped working most likely due to reboot of Rpi with some lost missing start-ups. Has anyone else received an update that has impacted their Modbus interface ? For the Sunsynk 5.5kw unit I am now on: Protocol: V0.2.0.1 Control: V2.1.5.4 Coms: VE.4.1.5
  6. This has been a great thread and big learning curve. Big thanks for all the input from everyone, I have also been able to extract the data via rs485 and build first draft dashboard for my Sunsynk 5.5kw. (The data will still smooth out ) Doing this via below path with 1 min update: 1) Synsync-> Rs485 -> RPi4 -> Node Red(on RPi) -> InfluxDB (On Rpi) -> Grafana(on Rpi) 2) AGM Battery -> BMV -> RPi4 -> Node Red -> InfluxDB -> Grafana I have also tried to map the Modbus registers to the values on the Sunsync display that could assist. (might be room for improvement or corrections)
  7. Sent A PM interested in one of the Goodwe 4,6kw ES Hybrid inverter.
  8. Thanks, I do not have PV array connected thus could not try that, I ended up taking the unit in for repairs on Saturday to Nungu Solar and got back the repaired unit today. They will still send me the report on what was faulty but the receptionist indicated they had to replace a card in the unit. Will install and monitor, thanks for all the suggestions and feedback.
  9. Sorry do not have Equipment for "Bar Graph", but I measure the voltage while the Axpert Cycles and it is sitting constantly on 51V, also measured the individual batteries and they are all sitting at aprox 12.8v after standing disconnected from the inverter for 12+ hours. (No warranty unfortunate) Think I will have to take in the unit for Repair quote, any recommendation on a repair centre I can use in Centurion/Pretoria after lockdown. Hope there is no load shedding in mean time
  10. No display, just the 3 leds flic's on and off, every second
  11. I have an Axpert 5kw, bought from the forum, that has been working great for the last year. For now, I have no solar panels connected only mains and 1 bank of 48v 180ah batteries Today I had to do some maintenance on the pool electric box (remove a Sonoff switch that failed) and accidentally switched off the axpert 220v feed trip switch, immediate there was a beep (no other noise or burn) and the axpert then went into a mode where it seems to switch off and tries to come on, brief flicker of display light and all three leds then cycles continue every 1 second seemingly to try and start up and fail. There is no blown fuse, and the batteries are all balanced and charged (each being 13.3v) When i disconnect the mains, and the battery it stops but as soon as I reconnect battery and switch on (with mains connected or not) it cycles again with loud relay clicking on and off. I did open the unit to see if i could see anything fundamentally wrong /blown but cannot see any issues. Has anyone experienced this before or is there any recommended repair shops that look at these in Centurion/Pretoria area
  12. The Tescom (Axpert?) 3kva has been sold, The Microcare is still available.
  13. New on forum, just bought the Axpert 5kva off the forum and now I have two inverters for sale. Location: Centurion 1) older model Microcare 24v inverter (no MPPT) = R3200 Model: Inver Link-3.6 (I had it as the 2.5kw and used it with two Fiaam 12v 180 ah batteries, batteries not for sale) 2) Tescom (Axpert?) 3kva with solar= R4200 - still connected waiting for the delivery of the 5kva unit. Model: SS PRO SOLAR 3kva (installed brand new for first time aprox 2 months ago, and been working great for the loadshedding) Reason for selling is the decision to add solar and best to do this with the Axpert 5kva and 48v system and not 24v system.
  14. Great to be able to join the forum. My current focus is to get a PV setup to drive some of the daily load. Currently I have 4 Fiamm 180ah batteries configured in two banks of 24 volt with 24v Tescom SSPRO Solar MPPT 3KVA, (no PV panels) that drive some key Equipment for the home office , TV and lights. I also still have a Microcare 24v 2.5kw Inverter system not connected. My objective for now is to drive some of the key equipment, aircon (1kw), Office Equipment(1kw), Pool pump(1.1kw), possible 1kw into water heating = total of apox 5kw planned. I do not want to run this off batteris, the batteries option it is only for backup lights, tv, some office equipment under loadshedding, but I am thinking of solar PV system to power the 5kw during the day, also keep the batteries charged for power outages. Due to the maximum Solar power for the Tescom of 1200W, I am thinking of upgrading to a 48v system. (will most likely sell the Tescom and the mirocare 24v units to fund some of the cost for a 48v system) For camping I have a 125W solar panel, with a BlueSolar MPPT 75/15, connected to a 105ah deep cycle 12v battery
