Good day all, I hope someone can shed some light on my query below. I got a 3rd Solar MD 14.3 and a 3rd Victron Multiplus II 48/5000 installed in January 2024 the BMS was faulty and only repaired in May 2024. My initial installation was done November 2022 which consists of 2 x 14.3 Solar MD, 2 x Victron 48/5000 Multiplus II and Victron MPPT RS 450/200 with 11.2kw solar panels. The new battery does not discharge or charge at the same rate as my older 2 batteries. The installer assured me the cables are of the same length. I have 3 x Victron 48/5000 Multiplus II to charge the batteries from Eskom and Victron MPPT RS 450/200 with 11.2kw of solar panels. Is this normal that the newer battery will charge and discharge at a different rate? Capacity % is always different to what my older 2 batteries indicate, current in and out is aslo different. I have the Solar MD logger and I am able to view device history charts.

Hi guys, I connected 2 x 12v 200ah Revovs in parallel in my bushlapa When in idle the one battery draws amps from the other battery. 2.5 to 3.5amps Positive from one battery goes to a Fuse then Positive busbar and Negative from the other battery goes to Victron Shunt (BMV 700) then to Negative busbar. Any advice will be appreciated.

Yes I used the Victron 75/15 for many years. The 100/20 will work.

Good evening all, Collected the first batch of equipment for my 10kva home installation. (2 x Victron Multiplus II 48/5000 & 1 x Victron SmartSolar MPPT RS 450/200) 2 x 14.3kwh Solar MD batteries and 28 x IBC 400W Solar panels to follow. Extremely excited about this journey. I'll try to post the progress, we start on Thursday, whoooo haaaa!

Good day all, I am looking at a 10kva Victron system with 14.3kw Solar MD battery and 16 x 540w panels in Durbanville - Cape Town. Any reason to rather go with the 10kva instead of 2 x 5kva Multiplus II? Apparently I don't need the Zeihl anti islanding relay with the 5kva units, but do need it with the 10kva MP II. Also only see the 3 and 5kva units on the City of Cape Towns approved inverter list and not the 10? Would d be much appreciated if someone can give me advice and more info. Regards,

Good day guys, I need some assistance here please. A fiend of mine owns a farm in Northern Cape. The farm house currently runs on supplied electricity which will be cancelled. They only want to use the house for 1 weekend a month and want to run the lights and fridge for the weekend when they are there. Was thinking of something cheapish: 1 x Growatt 3kw Solar inverter 2 x 200ah Vision Lithium batteries 4 x 325W Solar panels Can one just connect it direct into the current DB? There will be no incoming electricy supply from eskom anymore. If I can connect straight to DB, do I just remove the eskom incoming and connect the output from the inverter to the main breaker? Stove and hot water is gas. Will only be fridge and lights. All input and advice will be appreciated. Regards, Johann

Hi guys I have a a mecer 1200va connected with to a Vision 100ah. My garage door only open a fraction when disconnected from mains supply. Door opens normally once mains is back. Coromaster 2000 Motors x 2 I only used one at a time.... Couldn't get any specs for the motor anywhere.

Batteries sold last night...damn Can get Vision AGM and Ritar AGM..... No idea which to go for or do I just buy the Dixon deep cycles (Flooded)

I'll try to push my luck with cash deal, maybe R2 750 each.......
