Curious who you guys use to ship batteries… seems Pylontech SA warrantee is not worth the paper it is written on, Battery is physically deformed, swollen, but no, they want to first do test on it to confirm it’s damaged, and as it's a Lithium battery, it gets extra expensive to ship, that size, that weight, Lithium to Cpt. So much premium brand, premium backup. now starting to regret Pylontech. One of the comments made to me, this cost Pylontech SA... so they don't like (aka look for any excuse not to) warrantee's... vs International more concerned about Brand image/reputation... so hope i can maybe get international to step in G

I'm lucky that I have a good Victron system up the line with allot more power, so this UPS would be good if it can handle the load for 20-30min / max. I'd rather have a 2kva or 3kva, meaning i'm running allot lower % of the capability of the UPS. G

doing some more thinking, i have about 750W load from the computer rack. If everything is on. That means with a 0.8 power factor, I’m good for about 1hour on a 1kva, please someone, tell me i’m not smoking my socks. concern point would be to what charge level of the batteries would this be, we know lead acid’s/gel don’t like to dip below 50%. so I’d think I might be ok with a 2kva ups. only have $$ as per insurance pay out, I would love a Delta, but can't see that fit into that budget. G

the 3 pin sa plug is on the 3kva unit, from online specs it seems to have 4 x IEC (10amp) and 1 SA 3pin/16amp plug. G

the depth... i assume that physical, excluding cables out the back. your 1kva, how many plugs at the back does it have. it looks like this unit have 4 x C13 and one SA 3 point plug. G

my rack sits on top of a cabinet, was thinking of turning this side ways. Have space that way, sound wise ? it's about 4m behind me ? other idea is to go for the 2kVA unit, I had a 1kVA, it did not last long, so this will take me from two to four batteries, I actually have another 4, so was thinking of wiring them in parallel. extending the load carrying time. guys, these are not wall mount, they are rack mount, they are not rebranded voltronic, house hold 240V, they are 6 x 12V at 72V, these are local computer rack units. @TaliaB spot on, They are always on, no transfer time,, computers always feed from them and the recharge cycle feeds the batteries, they are similar to your house alarm, it always runs of the battery, and the battery is kept charged on the other side G

Anyone have experience with these I have a Victron based system for the house, but additionally had a local UPS (older Delta Amplon, 1kVA) at the computer/networking rack. it got taken out by lightening on Tuesday night, insurance is paying me out, figured out my load is also to much for 1KvA, so wanting to go 3kVA, looking at options in the price range of insurance payout, and really like the Delta's but they seem to be probably above my budget. I know it's Boer maak a plan, I happen to have 6 x 12V / 9AH batteries, meaning I can take the current 6x unit and keep the voltage at 72, but widen the Ah, by adding a extra battery in Parallel to each in the string, realise if it goes onto battery, when power/grid come back it will take longer to charge back up, but not really a issue. ... not knowing enough... but with the can bus/RS485 port. Can we not repurpose Kellerza's esp32 esphome code? Thinking if the Pylontec's expose a RS485 port, then hopefully we can modbus prob the values ? which mean we can push then as sensors onto HA as #1 option. The other option is to do the probing via Python (running on RPi Zero) and package values into JSON and mqtt publish it. G

no, the console port is the right port to be used for BatteryViewer and FW upgrades. There are another port there, called a RS485. it's normally the type of port through which can bus protocol is used. just looking into things. G
