Someone in Cape Town has just had a quote for increasing his supply to 80A - R7 200 if I recall.

I have my eye on some Canadians 335W but started thinking maybe one should go bigger say 400W. Fewer panels lower install costs? Maybe there are advantages and drawbacks to higher power? Then there is the issue of two strings instead of one?

If I have to use lead acid - budget wise - what are the best brands? Will try to limit to 50% DOD. Replace every two years?

Any news on when this inverter may be included in Cape Town's approved inverter list? It is still only carrying the Grid models! Anyone chatted to Victron?

Could the experts please give us the sort of switches/breakers we need to install according to this thread. Some installers I have spoken to do not appear to know and the forum is far ahead of them on requirements! Could you provide specific web links to these switches etc. so we know exactly what to buy.
