  1. Hi all, On a Victron BMV, should the 100% SOC be on float or bulk charging Voltage? I have 2 x Huawei ESM48100A1 batteries and the bulk is 53.4 and float 51V.

    Axpert software

I got mine from ICC directly, it is their product isn't it, and I'm very happy with it. Setup with emoncms and True VNC was easy and Manie from ICC was very helpful. He even logged into my VNC twice after hours to help me set up. Emoncms costs 1$ per feed per year, so its nothing. Seems to me like Sammy works for centurion solar...
  3. It seems to be the BMV itself, I have the 712 and the SOC on the BMV shows the same discrepancies. If the shunt is reversed could this cause the problem?
  4. Here is a good example, clearly cant be at 100% after the discharge of the last 2hrs.
  5. Yes but the soc is clearly wrong most of the time. ie I would have discharged about 3kwh from the batteries and the soc would show 95%, or they would be almost fully charged and it would show 50%. No idea anymore
  6. That is the one Im getting thanks
  7. @Coulomb I have a BMV 712 installed but I'm struggling to get an accurate soc reading. Currently its as per attachment, should be around 90% I reckon. Also soc sometimes show 40% when its on 51V???

  9. I'm sure this has been covered somewhere but I can't find it. Is it safe to put a 100L geyser with a 2kW element on a 16A Sonoff switch? What would the surge power be for this element?
  10. Thanks GVC, which batteries do you have? Whats your float and back to batteries V?
  11. I also lowered back to grid V to 48 but I kept getting low Voltage alarms from the inverter
  12. Hi @Coulomb. I have 2 of these 48100a1 batteries with a 5k Axpert, victron BMV712 and 9 x 330W panels. I am still trying to get the settings right, currently the inverter switches a lot between grid and batteries as can be seen below. Settings are: Bulk charge - 53.4 Float - 51 Back to grid - 48 Back to discharge - 51 Cutoff - 46 SBU setting Assistance would be appreciated a lot by anyone.
  13. Hi Keith, have you managed to get ideal settings for the batteries? I have bulk charge at 53.4, float at 51. Back to discharge also 51, back to grid 49, cut off at 46. Unfortunately the inverter switches between grid and batterries almost every hour during the evening and night. If I lower the back to grid V to 48, the low V alarm on the inverter keeps going off under 49V.
  14. @Manie when I try to log into ICC I get a error message for a couple of seconds, ICC starts up for 1 sec and the back to the same screen in a loop. Please help! It says "Warning: this computer is protected by copyright laws etc etc"
  15. Hi Jaco, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately did not work.
  16. Hi, my inputs on CMS have not updated for 17hrs, any ideas why? Power to Pi still on and all working fine.
  17. Hi Keith, yes I also realized that they are 48100A1 batteries later. Did you get them to communicate to each other and the inverter? I bought a victron BMV which is working fine and still need to connect ICC. But the 2 batteries are not communicating to each other yet.
  18. Try www.solar-shop.co.za, good price and service.
  19. Hi Albert, Where did you buy the batteries if I may ask? They look similar to mine but with different specs as attached. Do you have a lable on the side? LiT58120.pdf
  20. What V was your batteries at at about half? Did you set float to 54V?
  21. Thanks for the reply @Coulomb
  22. @Chris Hobson @Coulomb would appreciate advice, Chris I have your Axpert settings 1.1 but sure that doesn't apply to all types?
  23. Does anyone know these batteries? Would appreciate some tips on the ideal charge current, float V, cutoff V, etc settings for 2 of these on an Axpert MKS ii 5kva. LiT58120.pdf
