  1. Why does the charge current limit show 0 amps?
  2. Page 57 of the training manual https://portal.segensolar.co.za/reseller/docs/Training Manual Sunsynk.pdf "F13 - Working mode change If you are making a change while the system is running, like parallel or disabling the parallel operation, it may cause the system to crash. This is actually a very dangerous problem and can easily damage the inverter. If you are making such changes, you need to isolate the inverter from the load. When the battery mode was changed to 'No battery' mode, it will report F13. If you get an F13 fault, the best solution is normally to reset the system." Got F13 Fault after changing the timer. Beeped for a minute and then worked normally again.

I have a 30a breaker with 4mm wire L+N and earth running from my main db to a sub db. Coming from the axpert inverter, I connected the old inverter between the main db and the sub db. The the sub db's work is to power all my loads I wish to put on it. (Not exceeding 2kW) Can I connect the Sunsynk the same? And can I put the CT coil between the main and sub db? And one more thing. The earth neutral bond in the drawing. What sould I do.? Just connect all normally or bond it?

Aaaaand, one more question I wont be splitting essential and non essential loads. The inverter will only be used for essential loads (Sunsynk). Max load will be 2kW, but only for a short while and usually 500w and sometimes even less. I have a conlog prepaid meter. If the CT is installed between the prepaid meter and the main breaker, will this be ok? Heard that sometimes the prepaid meter trips if a little bit of current goes back to the grid.

Thank you. I tend to over complicate things.

Logic tells me https://powerforum-store.co.za/ is the store associated with the power forum and https://thepowerstore.co.za/ is not? Sorry. Never realized I was on the one or the other.

Just asking. Are there 2 Powerstores? The one with the small house is what I get when I click from the powerforum and the other comes up when I do a google search. Something smells fishy?

Funny, because I can not find it in the power store search or inverter list

Anybody familiar with The Solar Guys in East London? (Legit?) https://thesolarguys.energy/product/deye-5kw-hybrid-inverter-sun-5k-sg01lp1-eu/?gad_source=4&gclid=Cj0KCQjwmMayBhDuARIsAM9HM8eGmJRwZ55kdRkHJc3-UJU3-ag2HN6hShcUcP-RaISxSBMSVW2MU-IaAvXzEALw_wcB Thanks for the link. Still shopping around
  16. The brand will be your personal choice. Samsung is an excellent air-conditioner. After 30 years of air-con installations, the only ones that outlasted all of them is LG I'm not a LG sales person, I have a Carrier inverter in my lounge. 🙂 LG was just a bit to expensive for my budget I've installed a unit similar to the Samsung one and for 2 years no problems Then a lightning strike later and the whole building had no air-conditioning (a very pricey repair) I would personally go for individual units for each room. Installing 2x18000btu to get to 36000btu will cost way more than just getting a 36000btu As far as brands, please stick to good names; Samsung, LG, Carrier, Panasonic, etc.... Lately, Midea, Gree and even TCL made good air-cons. But the king for power consumption and performance is still LG

Thank you for the info. Will take a look
  18. LG Dual Inverter (pricey, but very power efficient) Work out the BTU needed for each room Say the room size is 5x5 meters, use 5x5=25 then x600 and this will give you 15000 BTU's Round this off to 18000 btu as you don't get 15000btu and 12000 btu will be way to small
  19. It finally happened. My 4kw Axpert clone blew up (error9) Took it apart and 3 IGBT transistors, a few zener diodes and a a few resistors was among the dead. I will not be repairing as I have lost faith in these type of inverters. Now I need help please. I only have R16000 to buy a new inverter. Solar= 2400W Battery = Pylontech UP5000 Inverter = NONE Software = Raspberry Pi 3B Solar Assistant Base load varies between 90-500W (Fridge/Freezer, Wifi, Alarm system, Cameras and TV) Peak load between 10:00 -14:00 (Geyser 1.5kw PTC element 150L) Using Solar and 04:00-05:00 using grid (2kW total) Would like to get the Deye 5kW or the Solis 5kW or similar. Any good suppliers you could point me to would be greatly appreciated
  20. No, you have to get the adaptor as mentioned a few posts up. R15 (give or take)
