Axpert Parallel tripping Earth Leakage
Good morning all... I am having an odd issue with a new Axpert King Parallel setup. On Friday last week, I added a 2nd inverter to my setup and connected everything as per the manual diagram for 2 inverters. When turning the systems back on, they immediately tripped the Mains' Earth Leakage and would not allow it to be put back up. The inverters still were powered up due to battery and PV but the newly installed unit had set itself to HS and the original to SL while providing an F72 error. I removed the return / load wire from the 2nd unit and just left the original one connected.. Turned both back on and all was well. The original unit with Solar connected has HS and the 2nd unit was SL.. This worked for about 2 hours until they tripped the post inverter earth leakage and when checking the units they had reverted back to SL and HS on the "incorrect" units with an F72 error. I turned off the new unit, disconnected the comms cable and left it until Saturday afternoon. I then reconnected the new unit exactly the same as per Friday but this time started the old / original unit up first, let it go online correctly and then only turned on the new / 2nd unit. They worked perfectly and everything ran as it should (PV on the HS / primary unit.. Mains connected and battery connected to both with all comms cables installed correctly). The units changed modes between SBU / SUB and Utility with no issue and Sunday ran like a charm. This morning when PV generation kick in, the program changed from SUB to SBU without an issue but 20 mins later, the Mains' Earth Leakage tripped again. No errors on the units and the Earth Leakage went backup without an issue.. About 20 mins later, it tripped again but this time the HS and SL had changed, F72 error was back and the Earth Leakage would not go back up. I have removed the load / return feed from the new / 2nd inverter, removed the comms cables and power both back up... The primary unit is function 100% with load, battery and PV... the new / 2nd unit is on perfectly but doing nothing beside testing the earth (with no issues for the last hour). Am I missing something? Is there supposed to be something connected inline with the load / return feed to prevent this from happening and what is an F72 error. I initially through it was a firmware difference error but they are both running identical firmware version. Thanks in advance... Really want to get this stable before adding PV to the 2nd unit

Axpert Parallel - producing different solar Kw
I see from the above that the battery is fully charged, when this is happening what is the load on the system as from the display it would seem low. I had the same issue with my King when first installed, the unit will only draw the PV power required... i.e. If the battery is full and the load only requires 2.63kw, that is all it will draw, irrespective of there is more available. From the load indicator, this would make 100% sense as presumably you have 2x Axpert King 5K units, which look like they are under 25% load.. i.e. a combined 2.5kw, hence not pulling more than 2.63kw when taking into account system losses. Why it is not pulling even from both, who knows but you will most likely find that the load is not being evenly pulled either and this may explain the disproportionate PV. Easy way to test.. increase the load and see what happens to the PV generation

Axpert King 3K firmware version / update
Fortunately, I have a Victron BMS 700 for that, so not an issue / deal breaker for me So sad but true 😭... The 71.86 is on the 5K units... no one at this point can tell me about firmware for the 3K ones... Tomorrow, I am going to get hold of both manufacturers and ask them if either can provide me with an updated firmware or at least confirm what the most updated version is. Failing that, I will get hold of MPP Solar in the US and try them they rebrand the same model... Hopefully some buttering up will convince them to send me a link / copy Out of interest... Should I fail with the new firmware... 2 questions, if you know 1) with the units setup in parallel... if you make settings changes to the primary unit, do they automatically mirror to the slave? i.e. if I change the inverter mode, SBU parameters etc. 2) If not, with the above... Do you know of any alternatives to ICC Solar that I could try to monitor the cluster? My main concern is if I don't get the cluster monitoring working and the units don't "talk" to each other as per point 1... I am running the Solar based on my BMS which is connected to ICC and Inverter 1.... Some funky #$%^ will happen if one is running off PV and the other is charging Sorry in advance if the concern is premature but I never thought about this until it did not work 😬

Axpert King 3K firmware version / update
Thank you for the insight... I would be amazing if both units could use the same firmware and simply detect the hardware.. Oh Well. 2 questions... when mention the BMS features, what features are you referring to? I also have a 5K model and have not noticed any difference between their feature sets (besides Pylon support which I put down to old firmware) The reason for me wanting to upgrade firmware, is I just connected the 2 units in parallel and run ICC Monitoring Software but the software does not work with the Parallel cluster. They (ICC) seem to think it is due to the old firmware as on the 5K models there was apparently an update for this.

Axpert King 3K firmware version / update
My one unit is a Sept 2018 (Full Circle Solar) and the other is a Dec 2018 (Mustek) both the the same firmware as mentioned above. Keep in mind that these are both 3K unit and not the 5K which I believe has a different firmware (sadly). Any insight with regards to updating would be greatly appreciated

Axpert King 3K firmware version / update
Hello all. Can you advise what your firmware version is, if you have an Axpert King 3K. My current version is 51.50 with a display version of 1.10 I am looking to see if anyone has a newer version and if by any chance, there is a download link for the updated version

PV Watt vs Volt /Amp max ratings
Hi all and sorry in advance if this has been covered but all the threads I found seem to get side-tracked before a conclusive answer is given... I have an Axpert King 3K which has the following PV ratings Max PV Array = 1500w MPP Range @ operating voltage = 30 to 115V Max PV Open Circuit Voltage = 145V Max Solar Charge Current = 60A Currently I have 4x 360w Canadian Solar Panels with the following specs per panel (STC) Operating Voltage = 39.6V Operating Current = 9.1A Open Circuit Voltage = 47.0V My current panels are configured as 2 panels in series x2 connected in Parallel equating to the following on paper in theory (please correct me if I am wrong) Voltage = 79.2V Current = 19.2A Open Circuit Volage = 94V Max Wattage (in theory) = 1440w but in reality ICC has reported bursts maxed at 1625w My question is, could I add another 2 panels in series to increase the array to x3 in Parallel?? The theoretical max output would be as follows Voltage = 79.2V Current = 27.3A Open Circuit Volage = 94V Max Wattage (in theory) = 2160w The important part of my question is what is most important max Volt & Amps or Watts or both? My confusion comes in, is the 1500w PV Array limit does not line up with the other limitations and seems to be way under Axpert King 3K - Spec Sheet Thanks in advance

Pylontech US3000 to Axpert King 5K - How To???
Thank you. What I was expecting to see with the cable Thanks again

Pylontech US3000 to Axpert King 5K - How To???
Thank you... Was about to ask re the voltage. Will change that a little later today and test I just ran up during load shedding now, re-did the battery side of the cable to get it to match the pin out in the PDF above and guess what?? IT WORKED within seconds. The only problem is from the outset, I am getting low voltage warnings, so I was going to google the settings but hopefully you have saved me the time From what I can see, the ICC cable is still of value as while the battery is talking to the inverter, it does not seem to push everything through to ICC and I am not getting the battery time left info that I do on my setup with the Victron battery monitor @Chris Louw - would you mind posting a screen shot of your ICC Dashboard Two... so I know what to expect before ordering the cable (or harassing Manie of ICC) @0 |>\/\/3|<|<3Я - You are a legend for that pin-out. Thank you again

Pylontech US3000 to Axpert King 5K - How To???
Thank you... Where did you get the cable and does it add any advantage besides accurate SOC readings? This setup is for my parents and I ordered on but still waiting for stock. I personally have a 3K King with GEL batteries running ICC and a Victron Battery monitor which works like a charm but no one can tell me (yet) if the ICC cable adds any advantage to ICC over connecting the Pylontech to the Inverter correctly and then ICC reads the info from the Inverter (for the newer Axperts with the PLY battery setting) Guess I will find out later today and report back

Pylontech US3000 to Axpert King 5K - How To???
Amazing and thank you!!! thought I was going mad!! I had found the dip switch part in the Axpert King manual (appendix B at the back) but obviously does not help with a standard cable. Going to try this later this morning and will let you know Thanks in advance

Pylontech US3000 to Axpert King 5K - How To???
I see you also have the console cable plugged in... Is that to ICC Software? if so, is there any benefit in having it in and where did you get it from as I can find anyone with it available

Pylontech US3000 to Axpert King 5K - How To???
Thank you Chris... mine is a black cable but I am sure it is the same thing as it has the same stickers on it... I will try tomorrow by moving the batteries closer, if that works... then I will try connecting it to the existing cable. I am presuming you did not have the make any setting changes on the invert besides setting it to the PLY battery?

Pylontech US3000 to Axpert King 5K - How To???
Thank you, seen that too and going to give it a try tomorrow I have checked the supplied cable and everything looks to be a standard ethernet cable. I am going to plug it into a tester tomorrow, to double check. The supplied cable does not specify which inverter it is for, hence why I am looking for someone that has connected one already

Pylontech US3000 to Axpert King 5K - How To???
Hello all.. I have search through the forum but am not coming up with anything conclusive... I have a Pylontech US3000 and an Axpert King 5K which I installed today... All is working but the comms between the battery and inverter. I made my own standard network cable to connect the two units from the CAN port on the battery to the li-ion port on the inverter but keep getting a communication error Unfortunately the distance between the battery and inverter is too great to use the supplied cable but it looks like it is standard ethernet cable Can any please confirm what type of cable they used between a Pylontech battery and an Axpert King inverter. Also that I am using the correct ports on both sides as well as what the first dip switch is set to. Lastly did you need to change any settings on the inverter besides the battery setting to PLY? Thanks in advance

Axpert King Inverter Firmware
Thank you for confirming... Any idea where I can get the 3kVA version?

Axpert King Inverter Firmware
Hi All... Might be a silly question... Will this firmware work on the King 3KVA model too?\ In ICC it is reporting my CPU 1 is on version 51.50 and CPU 2 is on Version 1.10... I am presuming that is the unit vs the display firmware... Is it okay to go directly to the new version? Thanks in advance
