  1. @coulomb, thanks for the constant updates, Wanted to inquire if you have any further updates for the axpert max think its 2809 (original firmware was 5404 and 12.21), I’m having an issue with clipping. I have 2 banks of solar arrays, 8*550W connected in series (PV1), and 12*330W connected in 4 parallel sets of 3 )PV2), PV 2 seems to be clipping at the 2000 W mark, even though PV 1 is easily generating over 3000W, I’ve tried isolating PV 1 from 2 with no difference. I have noticed that PV 2 does cause the fans to spin a lot more than PV 1, figuring that is mainly since the average volts for PV 2 sits at the 105-120V when compared to the 320-360V of PV1. I have checked the 4-1 strings which comprise PV 2 and that seems good, the panel’s are relatively clean and power uptake works well until the 2000W mark (the fans do spin more/louder though). Don’t think it’s a voltage stuck issue, since PV 2’s voltage is much lower when compared to PV 1 in light of the parallel and series connection, any possible idea? I’m thinking something about the fans spinning too much is triggering a limiting of performance; heat on the inverter doesn’t seem too much, however I’m measuring on the outer surface, not with the cover out.
  2. Hi Thanks @Coulomb for the constant help. My Axpert 11kw is now a year old, it has the square display (don’t know if it’s the max or twin). Firmware version 57.04 (u1) and 12.21 (u2), is there any good firmware updates for it? Just looking for the standard default versions (not patched), mainly in light of warrantee issues, and my brilliant luck with such.;)
  3. Hi wanted to inquire if anyone has any info on the wi-fi module on the dyness b3 and a1 models? Apparently there’s a dyness smart app, which allows for direct connection and monitoring of the batteries. App’s available on android and ios. Is this true, I’ve found a module user guide, but there’s very little other info on it and whether the recent stock of dyness batteries in South Africa allow/enable this.
  4. thanks so very much!:) do you think its worth updating or should i wait for a larger set of changes? also, what's the update process like?
  5. my battery seems to have the same issue, despite my supposered 'newer' inverter, have the axpert 11KW, with a 4.8kw dyness battery, and have the comms cable installed. what would be the lowest cut-off voltage? have myne currently set on 47.0, yet the default setting is 45, which seems really low. I honestly don't mind the current setting, but just want to test the actual battery capacity out hence for one time i want to take it to like 10% of charge left. btw my CPU version's 57.04 and secondary CPU version's at 12.21, is this the latest?
  6. Hi, I recently installed a 11KW mecer axpert inverter, however the noise level of the fans are like a meat chopper, especially when the PV is on during the day. The noise is pretty normal at night when it’s on line-mode and/or battery mode without PV usage (night time as well). Any idea how to dampen the noise? I tried reducing my battery charging current to 20A and the maximum discharge current to 30A with no success. I even tried changing the output source settings from sol-utility-bat to utility-sol-bat (even though the latter would nullify the reason for my installation of solar panels in the first place), once again with no success. Is there any way to reduce the noise? It’s over the 80DB mark when the fans are spinning, which happens quite a lot, especially when the sun is out.
  7. HI, Posting this again, since my timing yesterday (Sunday evening) may have not been so good. I require help, trying to figure out which would be the best back to discharge voltage for my 3.5 KW Pylontech Battery, running on an Axpert inverter. Should it be below the float and bulk charging voltages, or should it be above? Currently my float is at 52.3 and my bulk at 52.5, with the back to discharge at 53 (my float and pulk were previously at 53.1 and 53.2 respectively, but lowered it since it seemed to be overshooting.) should I put the back to discharge at 52.0?

  9. yu guys on this forum are a tremendous help. so my axpert is working well, especially after the advice I got from this forum, my settings seem to be optimal for my system, however I do still have the kettle problem, any way I can solve that? would a firmware upgrade help? my current firmware is 72.30 and secondary firmware is 4.12 (yeah I only fitted the system in feb so the firmware is already quite high), the system's the axpert 5p64.
  10. I currently have a axpert 5P64, however i'm looking for a grid tied inverter. I purchased it in February this year (even have a wifi watchpower device which goes with it so you can adjust the settings remotely). make me an offer and if its worth it i'll sell (as I said i'm happy with the axpert, but want a grid tied version). my num's 076 1521 877
  11. for a friend, what's better, the phocos psw H or the 5kw Axpert king? they're similarly priced, hence the query. I know from my experience the axpert and the pylontech battery is not fully compatible (battery charge readingtc), is this the same with the phocos.
  12. Hi! this forum honestly has been the most helpful when it comes to all things solar. my setup, thanks to you guys is going okay. have a question for a friend of myne, he is deciding between the Axpert king and the Phocos 5KW hybrid inverter. he just wants to use it with a battery (no solar), and wanted to inquire which is better. he plans on using the pylontec 3.5 KW battery, which is good, but which is not fully supported by the Axpert (unless that really brilliant ICC software is added in), does the phocos work better? any help is appreciated.
  13. sorry again, I know this may be a repete of a question above, but the graphics are not being picked up with my screen reading software, meaning I can't read them. have a 5KW Axpert, with 12 330W panels and a pylentec battery. can any of you guys give me the optimal settings? tried downloading Chris's manual, but there's parts where it says refer to battery details; I have a pylentech 3.5 KW battery model 3000B.
  14. okay, that's good. I have been getting about 3100 W at peak, drops quite drastically, my norm is around the 1600-2000W.
  15. Hi thanks again for the great forum. a quick Q, and i'm a real novice. on average, at peak sunny conditions, how much KW can I expect from 12 340W monochristaline panels, lined in 3 paralel blocks of 4? I know its dependent on the weather and position of the panels, but just want an average to estimate.
  16. the info both from WatchPower, and Axpert says that is compatible, and the Wifi module does seem to be working with the three lights flashing (showing that the connection is correct and that it is sending info to the net), it seems to be the watchpower IOS account, its not allowing me to log in, totally shutting down my user account info (continuesly saying that the account is not found). were the device not compatible wouldn't it have allowed me to log onto the account and thereafter not show the device in the app itself.
  17. Hi I recently purchased a WatchPower wifi module for my mecer Axpert 5P64 inverter. After connecting the device and configuring it to my home wireless internet (both of which are working correctly), I tried to register on the WatchPower IOS app. It says registration successful, but when I try to log in again it says user name not found. After trying to register again, it says that my device has already been registered. I also tried the android app with the same message showing. Is there any way I can be helped to get the app working? i'm sure I am using the correct user name and/or alternatively is there a way to re-register the device.
