  1. Thanks, that is the same feedback I've received from someone with a SunSynk inverter.
  2. Yesterday, my electricity meter was configured so that I could feed excess power back into the grid. However, upon doing some research, it seems that the CT coil on my Sunsynk 5kw inverter might have been installed the wrong way round? From what I understand, the feed from the should not have a minus in front of the value? The first photo is where the grid supply to the inverter is switched off. The second photo is where the grid is switched on. The 3rd photo is where the grid is still on with the dishwasher running, and the grid value doesn't have the minus in front of it.
  3. Issue has been sorted, there was a relay on the essential DB that was the problem. CT coil has to point towards the DB and inverter. On the 5kw, ins 3 and 4 are used for the coil. System is running well.
  4. Hi all, having a bit of an issue with my new install. It's a 5kw SunSynk with 5.1kw BSL battery. I'm not feeding back into the grid, so do I need a CT coil? Which way does the arrow need to point, towards the inverter or incoming direction? Which pins do the black and white wires connect to on the inverter? Panels are not yet installed, so charging from the grid. Thanks
  5. No problem, hope you get everything sorted.
  6. From what I understand it's to do with the UP2500 battery, the cable only works with that configuration.
  7. Hi That is correct, however without the cable it didn't allow me to select the PYL option. Only when I received the correct cable was I able to select PYL.
  8. Hi meyerwh If you use the correct coms cable then the inverter should set itself. There should be no need for you to make any changes between the inverter and battery. The settings are completely different when using a cable and not using one. The short time I was not using the cable the battery hardly ever charged.
  9. Hi Andreas Apologies for the late reply. The installer eventually managed to get the cable from Segen solar after they neglected to include it in the original packaging. If you have a crimping tool it's a simple cable to make up yourself, Segen made the cable for me. On the battery it's connected to the RS485 port and I think the Kodak only has RS232. If you have a look at my post further up on 26 July there are 2 x RJ45 ports on the Kodak inverter, it's the port on the left with the Li-Ion battery icon.
  10. Got the correct cable and it works, at last.
  11. So after numerous mails and phone calls between the installer and Segen it's come to light that the BMS pin configuration from a Voltronic inverter to a Pylontech UP2500 is different from the cable that is used in conjunction with the US2000/3000 batteries.
  12. Had a cable made up, problem still persists. Getting a cable from the supplier on Friday, hopefully.
  13. So I have confirmation on mail that Segen neglected to include the correct cable in the box of the inverter.
  14. Hi Jannie Thank you for the reply and sorry for hijacking your thread. Were you supplied the correct cable from your supplier/installer (solar-shop)? I suspect my supplier/installer did not order the cable from Segen when placing my order, now it's a hassle just to get any info from Segen if they do in fact supply this cable. I have found guys that do supply the correct cable, and want to get it asap.
  15. What a battle to have the BMS cable made up. For now I've managed to connect the inverter and battery via user defined settings and everything seems normal. Will however still attempt to get the correct cable.
  16. Thanks, hopefully I can buy the cable somewhere or have it made up.
  17. Attached are photos of my inverter and only cable supplied with the inverter. What I find perplexing is that there's no input for the RS232 on the inverter, unless it's only meant for comms between the inverter and PC?
  18. Hi Jannie I'm in the same boat, error 61 between Kodak OG3.24 and Pylontech US2500. I bought the Pylontech cable kit, on the box though it reads 1 x 3.5m CAN cable and from what I can gather the Kodak only does RS485. Which inverter supplied cable are you referring to? I only have 1 cable supplied with the inverter and it's and RJ45 on one end and RS232 on the other. Any help, please!!!
