It's Home Assistant with an ESP32 connected to the Deye to do reading/writing of the sensors.

I also have a Deye 5kW, and 12 x 545W Canadian panels. I have seen the DC solar power go over 6 kW and when there is grid you can get close to 8kW output due to AC passthrough. Attached is a pic of mine the other day with high usage, note that the inverter did not complain with an alarm or anything. Just took a screenshot now with solar at 5.7kW, so it can definitely provide more than 5kW from solar.

One difference I can see is that US3000C has 6000 cycle life (like US3000) whereas UP5000 has 4500 cycle life. US3000C has 37A discharge current whereas UP5000 has 50A. I have US3000C and would rather go for something with a longer cycle life if I was you.

I don't think it would be an issue, if your battery communicates with the inverter then it will limit power draw from the battery to protect it.

Thank you, so it looks like my temperatures are normal, but I will get a small fan in any case as the installation area is quite warm at this time of the year.

Mine does not have a fan and the temperatures goes quite a bit higher. It is installed in a covered area with one side open to the elements.

Hi, What is the normal range for the AC and DC temperature of the Deye 5kW inverters. Mine goes relatively high but I am not sure if it is something to be concerned about or not. I cannot find any documentation on this, the manual only talks about the ambient temperature as far as I can see.

I have a 5kW Deye inverter, with my geyser and oven on the non-essential side. I have ticked "Zero Export To CT" and my understanding is that if there is then excess PV it will go to the non-essential side if required. Is this correct? At the moment it looks like the oven is also using battery when we use it, is this the normal mode of operation? Ideally I would not want the non-essential side to use battery power.

I am not a user or installer, but I have been looking at that inverter as an option for me. I can share what I learned about the monitoring, apparently you can add another port where you can monitor the inverter locally. Hi, Is it possible to connect pv to both mppt in parallel with a Sunsynk/Deye inverter? I have seen that you can do that with the LuxPower SNA 5000, so then you basically double the input current capacity of the pv to the mppt, but of course then just have one input to 2 mppt. Thanks.

I have had a look at various ballast systems, but I am unsure what the weight carrying capacity of my roof is. Another challenge is that the roof needs maintenance every three years, so ideally I would like a system where the waterproofing company can get access to as much of the roof surface as possible. Do you know of any local companies that sell renusol products and what the costs might be?

Hi, I am planning on installing about 5kWp on my roof, but I do not have a clear idea yet on what mounting system would be the best. I have a flat roof with a waterproofing membrane which cannot be punctured in any manner. I don't have any parapets that can be used. Attached are some photos of my roof. Hi, I have seen on the forum that some people say the 5kW Sunsynk hybrid inverters have a 13A PV input current, but the datasheet that I see on their website (https://www.sunsynk.org/manuals), version 7.0 (https://www.sunsynk.org/_files/ugd/9350f7_3ab2d500127e4607af27a19e2b3d734e.pdf), has it as 11A. Can someone please tell me if I have the wrong datasheet? Also, what is the difference between the SG01/03LP1 and SG02LP1 and which ones do we get locally? Thank you.

The images were reversed, second image is usage overlayed with theoretical solar output, first image is difference, i.e. payed to eskom

The first image is our actual usage over the last day and a half (as measured by Efergy kit) together with theoretical output of a 5kWp panel array, 31° angle, at my latitude and this time of the year. The second image is the difference between the two, so what one would pay to eskom. I would like to get some real world data of solar output to confirm my calculations.
