  1. And now I see my inverter has a hole in the heatsink. Like it has a place for a fan!
  2. mine easily gets over 65 if i dont have my fan on
  3. time to install some fans!
  4. I setup a DC fan (CPU fan) with my old plug from a ADSL router. its 12v 3A output
  5. Please would you share this HA code with me?
  6. I have linked a Tuya RGB downlight in the kitchen to turn on red when there is loadshedding. (so my wife doesnt overload the inverter during LS). Then if the load gets to 4000W, it starts flashing.
  7. there is a setting for grid trickle feed, is that perhaps on zero? Also your timing setting for battery / grid use is important. - this will determine if its going to take from your battery or your grid another thing it could be is your "prioritze load" setting. If its ticked, then it will take from the battery instead of grid (if im not mistaken?)
  8. Im hoping you or someone else can help me here. I have posted on Home assistant forums, but i didnt get a reply. I want my lamp bulb (tuya RGB led light) to turn red when loadshedding starts. My lamp turns on, but it doesnt turn red. Please see if you can help me: alias: Power off description: "" trigger: - type: value platform: device device_id: fa2c3369f209354f1aedeecea1ce2fd9 entity_id: sensor.grid_frequency domain: sensor below: 45 for: hours: 0 minutes: 0 seconds: 5 condition: [] action: - service: light.turn_on data: brightness_pct: 50 rgb_color: - 255 - 0 - 0 target: entity_id: light.lamp mode: single
  9. any advantage doing this instead of using grid voltage / grid frequency?
  10. I have managed to setup HA and SA to talk to each other. What parameter do you use to identify load shedding? at the moment i am using if voltages goes below 100v. I was wondering what is best?
  11. one more question... my SA pi is running on wifi, I assume i need to set the ip address to static?
  12. Im trying to understand linking of SA and HA. did you create an MQTT bridge with a broker? what guide did you use? this is all new to me -.-
  13. Thanks, I will look at that for an option. Hoping to pick up a second hand pi for cheaper. I'll see what I can find.
  14. Unfortunately I don't have a media server and don't want to run my gaming pc all day for HA.
  15. So I have solar assistant with a pi 4 connected to my inverter with the necessary cables . I need a second one for HA (I'm borrowing one from a friend currently)
  16. Anyone have a rasberry pi 3 /4 for sale? 😅
  17. so HA talks to SA to get data? its advisable to keep both SA and HA? or can HA replace SA?
  18. thank so much! are you running HA and SA ? I currently have a lot of tuya smart devices in my house
  19. I dont have programming knowledge, but it seems that there are guides available for people wanting to setup different things in HA. I am borrowing the pi 3 for the next few months from a friend. So I will see if I can get HA integrated to view and change inverter things. If I can get it to work, then I will use the SA pi for HA.
  20. So I have managed to source a pi and sd card. My tuya smart devices connect via wifi. I see that Solar assistant can connect via MQTT. So I assume the HA pi becomes the hub and allows wifi and MQTT on the same network. I am very new to this, please excuse my noobness.
  21. So can I replace SA with HA? In other words remove SA from the pi and just run HA. Will I get the same functionality?
  22. So I have SA on a raspberry pie. Is it possible to have home assistant on the same raspberry pie?
  23. That's very cool! Thanks
  24. Okay thank you. Just didnt notice it before.
