My hubble AM2 was 78Ah, after firmware it went to 105ah. I called hubble and they said its meant to be 105ah. Somewhere someone is not telling the truth, because i bought my hubble AM2 as a 110ah

thats what i did for my entire system. bought the inverter, battery and panels myself. Then got someone to install for me

I definitely don't think its too many panels. Having an east / west split reduces your total production by 10-20%. I have 12x540w (east west), and on cloudy days my 1x hubble 5.5kw doesn't fully charge (when other loads are being used).

My electrician messed up! He touched a PV wire against the heatsink. I was very annoyed because it I was without the inverter while we had the stage 6 loadshedding not so long ago. Anyways, all fixed now.

My 5kw inverter went in for repairs which took a month in total. If you go for 2x 5kw, then you'll have one as backup if 1 needs to be repaired

I have a hubble, not sure on the pylontech batteries. Hopefully someone that has a pylontech can help with the settings

Cycle your battery, keeping it above 20% to help with battery life. If you do this daily, you'll most likely "pay off" your battery in 5-7 years. (depending on electricity tariff hikes). Then when you know there is loadshedding, keep your battery above 50 - 70%(depending on your consumption) to make sure you make it through loadshedding.

This might sound cliché, have you tried turning it off and on again?

Before buying an inverter just make sure there is good local support / repair services available in SA.

By the sounds of it (no pun intended) I'm a lucky without any noise. I wonder how many units are faulty/making noise...

Solar assistant is saying my load is 448w. production is 468w and battery usage is - 172w. Surley my production + battery should equal my load?

@Dre had exactly the same problem. I think he bought his battery a month or 2 ago. He updated his firmware to the latest that hubble gave him. /this did not fix the issue. The then changed his settings to agm-v (with the correct voltages) and ran his battery down to 0% (recommended from hubble). It seems that its charging to 100% now. Maybe ask @Dre for details

Phone hubble, this isnt correct. Also your battery should be readying 110ah or 105ah.

But have the contacted you to tell you that you have to upgrade? Or any formal communication? If not you can't be held liable for not upgrading. I only upgraded because of my SOC issues. I was only getting 77ah

I think if your hubble isn't causing issues, then don't update the firmware. Otherwise you'll also be on 105ah like us.

So glad I bought SA instead of Riot. Sounds like riot is a waste of time.

thanks for the advice. I do already. doing my bit to help the country 😅 my battery / inverter is set to shut down at 10%. But when i know there is loadshedding, I keep my battery charged from the gird will give that a try, thanks

I have a setting to keep my battery charged at 20% overnight. Keeping at 20% used 3 cycles! I will definitely be changing some settings....
