You need a RS232 to USB converter, the converters nomally have a male conector, so the cables you need to do will need a Female DB9 conector (that's how the conector is called, RS232 is the protocol), heres one:
    https://www.amazon.com/HL-340-Serial-Adapter-Support-Windows7/dp/B08QJNJP6P/ref=sr_1_55?dchild=1&keywords=rs232+to+usb&qid=1622562550&sr=8-55

you only need 1 USB to RS232 converter (you can just change it when using the Bs or the Cs) but pylontech US3000B uses a diferent console port conector from US3000C so you actually need to make 2 different cables for each version

US3000B uses RJ11 on the console port, which is the same used by telephone lines (you might have one lying arround)

US3000C uses RJ45 on the console port, which is the same as the LAN cables used for cabled internet on PCs for example (you might also have one lying arround)

So you will need to get that RS232 to USB converter, 2 DB9 female conectors, 1 RJ11 cable with all 4 cables (some don't come with all 4 cables), and 1 RJ45 cable (with all cables as well)
I would get a multimeter on continuity test to test which cable is which
mix the cables as showed above and tape up every cable with electrical tape
I'm pretty sure you can buy the US3000B cable somewhere but they are very overpriced
I haven't seen the US3000C cable premade though
Yes the updates up there will work as long as you use the US3000B update for the US3000B and the US3000C update for the US3000C
    Cheers

Thank you so much for this information, I have 3 US3000B bateries and bought another one, but instead of them sending me a B they sent me a C!!!

I had a RJ11 to DB-9 Serial to usb going into a rapsberry pi for ICC Solar, and it wasn't a pleasant surprise to see that they changed the console port from rj11 to a rj45, even if the RJ11 fits It doesn't work on the C

Then I had the idea of making the C battery a Slave (and just conect the RJ11 on the B Master) but that doesn't work because apparently the C has to be the master if you have any Bs

Anyways I did the cable and it works perfectly with icc, here's a more visual thingy if you wanna make it and wherever your db-9 port is male or female:

    On aliexpress for 435.84€ or R 7324,76 https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005001563505796.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.274263c0sbFRZM,

    the bms for 123.92€ or R 2082,61 (250a 4S1P one) https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005001349754494.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.274263c0sbFRZM

it also has a active battery balancer bms (15,38€ or R 258,48) which means instead of wasting the excess power of the cells higher voltage cells on resistances it instead charges the lower voltage cells with it so there's less power loss: https://es.aliexpress.com/item/4001171649360.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.274263c0sbFRZM

and the 12V 2500w 5000w peak inverter for 167,60€ or R 2816,7 but this was bought back in 2019 and this is a slightly updated version with a screen it seems, and also a bit more expensive https://es.aliexpress.com/item/33003269741.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.274263c0gQ0tjK

The inverter was bought next with a 12v 120ah lithium battery (1.44kw/h) for 275,40€ or R 4628,39 (back in 2019) that could output up to 950w I think, the thing is that this battery wasn't powerful enough for what I needed (I needed to power up a up to 1800w air compressor)
Similar to this one but smaller 120ah version:
To make that compressor work I basically had to put in paralel this lithium 950w battery and a big tractor start up battery, this worked until the lead battery got discarged and then it would put more pressure into the lithium battery, voltage dropped to like 9V or a bit less when trying to power up the compressor, the buses on the lithium battery heated up so much that the plastic arround them melted (kind of acted as a fuse) and stopped the metal arround them from being well connected, and also some inner cables that were soldered to the bms from the heat caused melted and got deattached from the bms and I had to solder them until I put some tape holding the cable in that position so in case the tin would melt again at least it would solder itself again
It was a mess, the lead battery died (because it's not made to be discharged), the lithium battery still works perfectly apart from the molten plastic shape arround the buses, the best thing about it was that it was very lightweight
this new lifepo4 280AH/280A it's amazing, it can deliver up to 3360w and half of that at half charge, more than twice the capacity and it has 4000 cycles
    Cheers

I wanna point out that I made for myself a portable 280AH 4S1P Lifepo4 12V battery pack (about 3.5kw/h) with a 12V 2500W inverter (everything is about 25kg but everything is inside a tool box with wheels which makes it easy to transport)

and though it doesn't have a mppt I could install it, these premade battery and inverter packs are definetly more expensive than making your own

Inverter, Batteries, big toolbox with wheels, bms, 35mm2 cable and terminals, lifepo4 charger all cost about 800€ or R 13444,82

Batteries go into the lower compartment and the inverter on top

Hi Guys, just an update. I have managed to get it working. @YellowTapemeasureThe unit does have a console port but now they use a RJ45 connection. My frustration is dropping 20k per battery and the vendor does not want to know you in terms of support. Frustrating. Anyway the pinout is as follows for anyone else looking for it:
    RJ45 CONNECTOR:-------------- > DB9 RS232
    PIN 1 -------------- > NOT CONNECTED
    PIN 2-------------- > NOT CONNECTED
    PIN 3-------------- > PIN 2
    PIN 4-------------- > NOT CONNECTED
    PIN 5-------------- > NOT CONNECTED
    PIN 6-------------- > PIN 3
    PIN 7-------------- > NOT CONNECTED
    PIN 8-------------- > PIN 5
Yani from Multisib had to make an update on his brilliant program and now Multisib communicates with Pylontech and Invertor flawlessly.
Thanks @DeeJayand @YellowTapemeasurefor your valuable feedback.
