SRTosen got a reaction from esmail-kassir in SOC Recalibration EventSo far yes. I have not seen a spike in the charging from solar since. At the same time, the SOC has not dropped to 51% since the initial event.
It subjectively appears that the battery appears to be perfoming better - the yard stick being the SOC when the MPPT switches of and then when it switches the following morning. There are many variables overnight. This also does not exclude lifestyle changes to try and ensure that when the MPPT switches of, the SOC is 100%. I am comfortable with an 80% SOC at about 06:00.

Looking at your log, the big jump was from 51% to 78% in 1 minute. With that size battery that is virtually impossible.
I would run that battery down to shut off and then do a full recharge. That should reset the SOC.

You will really get proper answers/feedback to your posts if you state clearly what you are inquiring about.

Charge limit for the hardware is 100A, and the Goodwe agents won't set it past 80A as per - they say - an instruction from FreedomWon. Though if the hardware can't go past 100A, there's not a lot more that can be done. The bus bar is the main piece of the puzzle though. Batteries connect to this, and the bus bar feeds the disconnect. The two batteries would have to talk to each other as well.
FW want a minimum distance between the batteries, so I need to measure to see if I can meet that requirement.

The E tower is exclusively made and assembled in China. The Lite family is assembled and made under FW factory here in SA. All Lites and Lite 2 have Orion BMS Jr for LV and Orion & Orion 2 for the HV units.
The Orion has massive pedigree and is made in the USA. It's a delight to work with because it's in good English and for a skilled operator can allow some pretty radical stuff. There is a password protecting the nitty gritty for good reason. In the wrong hands can cause some harm.
Of particular interest the Orion HV is an adaptation from the EV market in the US and hence the price if you are looking to source one can be north of R100k. It's a BMS that can harness individually to all +200s cells and features Active balancing. So pretty special one big monster unit.
The Chinese EV market adaptation is slightly different topology. They have a Modular way of BMS control. A BAU in some cases , BCU and BMU. Modular making it significantly cheaper if anything fails. Each can be around R30k to R5k depending on the module.
Some useless info but must say very intriguing to be exposed to both topologies and to each their own. I see good benefits on both sides of the fence.

In @Steve87 's port 3 above, he specifies how to "talk" to a FW 10/8. You can't use PBMSTools, as only the FW eTower has a Pace BMS.
